The present invention is a cartridge underbody attachment for a single control faucet. The attachment generally comprises a cartridge seat, valve tubes, and tube fittings. The cartridge seat is supported within the spout body of a faucet. The spout body comprises a sideways extending port having a notch and ledge formed therein. The cartridge seat is positioned in the spout body. The cartridge seat generally comprises a backplate having defined apertures, and a manifold that is part of the rear surface of backplate. Valve tubes soldered within the manifold are in fluid communication with the apertures. A pin on the backplate interfaces with the notch in the spout body to align and position the cartridge seat within the spout body. A cartridge support housing in combination with the port ledge of the spout body secure the cartridge underbody attachment to the spout body.

Cartridge underbody attachment

A roman tub faucet with a hand shower diverter mechanism integral to the tub spout. The diverter mechanism is especially suited for applications where service access to only the outer tub finished surface is practical. The faucet eliminates the need to remove panel or tile portions from the tub area for diverter mechanism service or replacement. The faucet also eliminates the need for an additional installation hole that is required for roman tub faucets with a separate diverter mechanism and tub spout.

A Roman tub installation includes a hub and handle assembly, a valve, a sleeve coupled to the valve's body, a stem adapter coupled to the valve's stem and to the hub and handle assembly, and a threaded collar coupled to the sleeve. The hub and handle assembly includes a hub having a threaded portion for engaging the threaded collar, thereby coupling the hub and handle assembly to the sleeve and valve body, and a handle disposed adjacent the hub. A handle stem extends from the handle and couples the handle to the stem adapter. The stem adapter couples the handle's stem to the valve's stem, thereby coupling the handle to the valve stem.

Trim installation hardware

A faucet handle includes a hub, handle body and end cap. The handle body includes a first end with external threads and a second end with internal threads and a central bore extending between the first and second ends. The end cap includes a shank with a bore configured to receive a driver, such as a hex wrench, and threads to engage the internal threads of the second end. In use, a consumer inserts a driver through the central bore to engage the bore of the end cap and screw the end cap into the second end of the handle body. The handle body is then screwed into the hub.
