A structural assembly for a cockpit of a motor vehicle comprising a crossmember which extends over the width of a vehicle interior and is designed as a supporting structure. The crossmember and a dashboard attached thereto are constructed from a driver's module, a central module and a front passenger's module. The modules are designed so that adjacent modules can be fastened to one another, either both indirectly via an adapter part directly. By an appropriate selection (or elimination) of the adapter parts the crossmember and the dashboard can be adapted to different vehicle widths. When assembled, the crossmember and the dashboard form a pre-assembled, self-supporting reinforcement unit which, when installed in the motor vehicle, reinforces the motor vehicle in the transverse direction.

Subassembly for a cockpit

A motor vehicle has a vehicle interior and a partition which divides the vehicle interior into a front area that has a driver's side, and a passenger side and a rear area. The partition is divided into at least two partial units that abut one another in a transverse direction of the vehicle. One partial unit of the partition is immovably mounted behind a driver's side of the front area. At least one additional partial unit is movable between two end positions, with the end positions opening or closing a passageway area between the front area and the rear area.

A removable rear seat for motor vehicles, in particular for Estate cars with a variable-volume loading space, having a rigid seat bench and a seat-bench substructure for fixing the seat height. The substructure is fixed on the floor of the vehicle body via releasable anchorage locations. In order to provide a rear seat which is manageable, easy to remove, and makes optimum use of the resulting free space after the rear seat has been removed, the seat-bench substructure is connected releasably, at its end remote from the anchorage locations, to the seat bench and is retained in its anchorage location. Thus, it can be pivoted out of a use position into a stowage position on or in the floor of the vehicle body and vice versa. At least one manually actuatable locking device locks the seat-bench substructure in its use position and determines the seat height.
