A ceramic printing ink is provided that is suitable for application using an inkjet printing process to produce a coating on glass ceramics. The ink includes a glassy material of glass particles and pigment particles. The glass particles are present in a ratio of total weight to the pigment particles of at least 1.5 and less than 19. The glass particles have an equivalent diameter dranging from at least 0.5 μm to at most 5 μm. The ink has an effective coefficient of linear thermal expansion, α, in a range from 6.5*10/K to 11*10/K.

The present invention relates to a precision component and also to a glass-ceramic which can be used for producing the precision component.

Precision component

The present disclosure relates to a bonding glass which has improved water resistance and has a coefficient of thermal expansion &#x3b1;(25-300) of from 14&#xb7;10Kto 17&#xb7;10K, comprising, in mol % on an oxide basis, 5-7 of BO, 10-14 of AlO, 36-43 of PO, 15-22 of NaO, 12.5-20 of KO, 2-6 of BiOand &#x3e;0-6 of R oxide, where R oxide is an oxide selected from the group consisting of MnOand SiOand SnOand TaOand NbOand FeOand GeOand CaO. The bonding glass is free of PbO except for, at most, impurities. The bonding glass may have a glass transition temperature Tg of from 390&#xb0; C. to 430&#xb0; C. The present disclosure also relates to uses of this bonding glass.

An optical glass for the manufacture of large transmission optics, such as lenses having a thickness of 100 millimeters or more, comprises 35 to 70 wt.-% SiO, 17 to 35 wt.-% AlO, 3 to 17 wt.-% PO, 0 to 6 wt.-% LiO, 0.5 to 4 wt.-% MgO, 0.5 to 3 wt.-% ZnO, a maximum of 1 wt.-% CaO, a maximum of 0.5 wt.-% BaO, 0.5 to 6 wt.-% TiO, 0.5 to 3 wt.-% ZrO, 0 to 1 wt.-% NaO, 0 to 1 wt.-% KO, a maximum of 1 wt.-% of refining agents (AsO, SPO) and a maximum of 500 ppm of other contaminants. The glass composition may be equal to the composition of the glass ceramic Zerodur&#xae; and allows to manufacture large transmission optics in a cost-effective way, has a maximum of transmittance which is in the range of a He&#x2014;Ne lasers and has a CTE of about 3&#xb7;10/K.

The glass composition may be equal to the composition of the glass ceramic Zerodur&#xae; and allows to manufacture large transmission optics in a cost-effective way, has a maximum of transmittance which is in the range of a He&#x2014;Ne lasers and has a CTE of about 3&#xb7;10/K.

A lithium-aluminosilicate glass ceramic is transformed by a suitable heat treatment into a glass ceramic comprising at least 80 vol.-% of keatite mixed crystals. This may be utilized for the preparation of optical or mechanical high-precision parts having a high temperature resistance, a good stability and compatibility with components consisting of metals having a small coefficient of thermal expansion based on nickel and iron, such as Invar&#xae;.
