According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a touch sensing unit includes a touch driving wiring and a sensing electrode unit including a driving electrode pattern connected to the touch driving wiring and a sensing electrode pattern with a rounded corner. The touch driving wiring includes a junction portion connected to the driving electrode pattern and a wiring portion extending from the junction portion and bypassing the sensing electrode unit along the rounded corner of the sensing electrode pattern. A line width of the junction portion is greater than a line width of the wiring portion.

Touch sensing unit and display device including the same

Display device

A display device includes first touch electrodes, first routing lines, second routing lines, and a first guard line. The first touch electrodes are arranged in a touch sensing area. The first routing lines are connected to one side of the first touch electrodes. The second routing lines are connected to another side of the first touch electrodes. The first guard line is between the first routing lines and the second routing lines, and includes a first region extending in a first direction, and a second region extending from one end of the first region in a second direction crossing the first direction. The first region includes a first touch conductive layer, and a second touch conductive layer on the first touch conductive layer. The second region of the first guard line includes the second touch conductive layer and does not overlap the first touch conductive layer.

Display device having touch sensing structure including guard line

A display device includes: a display panel having a display area and a non-display area at least partially disposed around the display area; and a touch sensor disposed on the display panel and including a touch sensor area and a touch pad area adjacent to the touch sensor area, wherein the touch sensor includes a plurality of touch electrodes disposed in the touch sensor area, a plurality of touch pads disposed in the touch pad area, and a plurality of touch signal lines electrically connecting the touch electrodes with the touch pads, respectively. The touch signal lines include first line portions overlapping with the touch pads and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and the second line portions being angled relative to the respective first line portions extending in the first direction and connected to the touch electrodes, and the first line portion of the touch signal line has a first length in the second direction different from a second length in the second direction of a first line portion of an adjacent touch signal line.

A display device includes a first substrate having light transmitting portions, a plurality of pixels positioned on the first substrate and including light emitting devices, a light sensor layer overlapping the first substrate and including light receiving devices respectively corresponding to the light transmitting portions, and a light guide layer positioned between the display panel and the light sensor layer and including light guide paths respectively corresponding to the light transmitting portions.

Display device and operating method thereof

A touch unit is provided including a touch electrode disposed in a sensor region. A touch driving wire is connected to the touch electrode. The touch driving wire includes a first routing line connected to a first side of the touch electrode and a second routing line branched from the first routing line and connected to a second side of the touch electrode. A pad electrode line is spaced apart from the touch driving wire. The pad electrode line is connected to a pad. A pad connection line is connected to the touch driving wire and the pad electrode line. The pad connection line is disposed in a different layer from the touch driving wire. An area in which the pad connection line is in contact with the first routing line is greater than an area in which the pad connection line is in contact with the pad electrode line.

Touch unit and a display device including the same

A sensing structure includes: a substrate including a sensing area and a peripheral area located adjacent to the sensing area; a sensing electrode disposed in the sensing area of the substrate; and a first wire disposed in the peripheral area of the substrate, wherein the first wire is connected to the sensing electrode, and the first wire has at least one opening.

A display device includes: a display panel including a display region including a rounded corner, the display region having a plurality of pixels arranged therein, and a non-display region surrounding the display region; a plurality of touch electrodes overlapping with the display region; and a first screen electrode disposed along the rounded corner to overlap with pixels disposed adjacent to the rounded corner among the plurality of pixels, the first screen electrode being electrically connected to some of the plurality of touch electrodes. Accordingly, the touch sensitivity of the touch electrodes can be improved, and pixels arranged in a stair step shape at the round corner of the display region can be prevented or reduced from being viewed from the outside.

A touch sensing unit includes a base layer having defined thereon a first sensing area, a second sensing area, and a third sensing area. The second and third sensing areas protrude from the first sensing area in a first direction and are spaced apart from each other. A non-sensing area is adjacent to the first, second, and third sensing areas. A first detection electrode is disposed within the first sensing area. A second detection electrode is disposed within the second sensing area. A third detection electrode is disposed within the third sensing area. First, second, and third signal wires are electrically connected to the first, second, and third detection electrodes, respectively. A pressure sensor including: a first conductor; a second conductor spaced apart from the first conductor, and positioned so as to form a capacitance with the first conductor; and an elastic member positioned between the first conductor and the second conductor, in which the capacitance varies according to a pressure applied to one or more of the first conductor and the second conductor, and the first conductor has a shape different from that of the second conductor.

A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present system and method includes a substrate; a display active layer disposed on the substrate, the display active layer including a plurality of pixels that are configured to display a first color, a second color, and a third color, respectively, and a touch sensing layer disposed on the display active layer. The touch sensing layer includes first touch electrodes and second touch electrodes, which are separated from each other, and gaps between the first touch electrodes and the second touch electrodes. The gaps are formed to expose first color pixels configured to display the first color and non-pixel areas.

Touch sensor, display device including the same, and method for driving the touch sensor

A display device may include a first transistor, a light emitting device, a sensor capacitor, and an insulating layer. The light emitting device may be electrically connected to the first transistor and may include a pixel electrode, a common electrode, and a light-emitting member positioned between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. The sensor capacitor may include a first capacitor electrode, a second capacitor electrode, and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer may be positioned between the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode, may directly contact both the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode, and may not emit light. The second capacitor electrode may be electrically connected to the common electrode. A face of the insulating layer may directly contact each of the pixel electrode and the first capacitor electrode.
