Provided are a display device and a fabrication method thereof. The display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate having one surface opposite to one surface of the first substrate. The first substrate includes a first-one portion that overlaps the second substrate in a thickness direction and a first-two portion that does not overlap the second substrate. The second substrate includes a second portion that overlaps the first substrate in the thickness direction. The first-two portion has a greater thickness than the first-one portion. The second portion includes a second-one portion that overlaps the first-one portion in the thickness direction and a second-two portion disposed between the second-one portion and the first-two portion in a plan view. The second-two portion has a greater thickness than the second-one portion. The second-two portion is disposed so as not to overlap the first-two portion in the thickness direction.

A method of manufacturing a curved display panel, includes: polishing a portion of the flat display panel that is to form a protrusion, which protrudes in order to protect a portion, to which a drive circuit board is attached, through mechanical polishing so as to have a preset thickness; installing a sealing member, which protects the flat display panel, polished in the polishing, from an etchant by surrounding both the portion that is to form the protrusion and the drive circuit board; and etching an entirety of both surfaces of the flat display panel using the etchant, excluding a portion on which the sealing member is provided, so that the flat display panel, having the sealing member installed in the installing, has a thickness smaller than a thickness of the protrusion.

Method for manufacturing curved display panel, and curved display panel manufactured by same manufacturing method

A method of manufacturing a curved display panel by reducing a thickness of a flat display panel comprising a first substrate and a second substrate, the method includes: polishing a portion that is to form a protrusion on an edge of at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate to a preset thickness through mechanical polishing; masking the portion that is to form the protrusion, polished to the preset thickness in the polishing, using a masking member so as to prevent the portion from being etched by an etchant; and etching the display panel to a preset thickness by the etchant so as to be thinner than the portion masked by the masking member to make the protrusion protrude therefrom.

An optical fiber plate manufacturing apparatus using vibration, includes: an optical fiber supply unit configured to supply an optical fiber; an optical fiber cutting unit configured to cut the optical fiber, supplied from the optical fiber supply unit, to a preset size; an optical fiber storage case configured to collect and store optical fibers, cut to the preset size, in a predetermined direction; and an optical fiber arranging unit configured to arrange the optical fibers, stored in the optical fiber storage case, using vibration so as to minimize a gap between the optical fibers.
