A method and apparatus for combining colorants using a camera. The method of combining colorants using a camera includes extracting color data from an image of an object captured using a camera, converting the color data into spectral reflection factor data of the object on the basis of a pre-constructed camera color model, acquiring spectral reflection factor data for an estimated colorant combination obtained by simulating a combination of colorant samples obtained from a colorant database, and selecting an optimal colorant combination by comparing errors between the spectral reflection factor data of the object and the spectral reflection factor data for the estimated colorant combination. Therefore, it is possible to use a highly accessible and inexpensive camera, such as a smartphone camera, and thus an ordinary user can easily find an optimal colorant combination.

Method and apparatus for combining colorants using camera

An apparatus for generating 3-dimensional (3D) volume mask model and a method therefor. The apparatus includes a 2D mask data collector, a 3D mask model generator, and a 3D mask model adjuster, whereby 2D mask data is generated from a 2D mask image designed by a user, a 2D mask mesh is created based on inner and outer contour feature points, a 2D mask is transformed into a 3D model according to the user's settings, and the generated 3D mask model is modified to fit on a facial shape of a person who will wear the mask, and a 3D mask volume model is generated, which is immediately printed by a 3D printer to produce a 3D mask.

An apparatus and method for producing a makeup avatar is disclosed. The apparatus may include a spectrum information metadata generating unit to generate spectrum information metadata, based on skin spectrum information of a user and cosmetics spectrum information related to makeup, a makeup information generating unit to receive, from the user, a makeup avatar to which makeup is applied through a user terminal, and to generate makeup information of the makeup avatar, a control information determining unit to determine control information for controlling a makeup status of the makeup avatar, based on the makeup information and the spectrum information metadata, and a makeup avatar metadata generating unit to generate makeup avatar metadata, based on spectrum information metadata corresponding to the control information and the makeup information.
