A display device includes: a display module including a first surface which displays an image and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a hinge disposed on the second surface of the display module; and a pair of supporting members connected to sides of the hinge and rotatable with respect to a pair of first rotation axes, respectively. The hinge includes: a base frame; a pair of hinge pins coupled to the base frame and providing a pair of second rotation axes, respectively, which are different from the pair of first rotation axes; and a pair of hinge barrels rotatably coupled to the pair of hinge pins, respectively.

Display device

A display device includes a display module including a first non-folding area, a second non-folding area, and a folding area disposed between the first and second non-folding areas which are arranged in a first direction, a first support disposed below the first non-folding area, a second support disposed below the second non-folding area, and a hinge including a biaxial rotation shaft disposed between the first support and the second support, the biaxial rotation shaft extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The folding area has a curvature radius in a range of about 1.5 mm to about 5.0 mm when the display module is folded by a rotation of the first support and the second support with respect to the biaxial rotation shaft.

A display device includes a display module including a first non-folding region, a second non-folding region, and a folding region disposed between the first and second non-folding regions, a first body disposed on the first non-folding region, a second body disposed on the second non-folding region, a plurality of rotation pin units connected to the first and second bodies to provide a biaxial rotation axis, which is overlapped with the folding region, to the first and second bodies, and a plurality of gears which rotate in conjunction with the rotation pin units. Foldable display device

A display device includes a display module and a folding set disposed below the display module and defining a first rotation axis and a second rotation axis, which each extend in the first direction. Here, a first axis parallel to the second direction and overlapping a first surface of the display module and a second axis perpendicular to the first surface of the display module at a center of the folding set are defined. Also, a first coordinate of the second rotation axis is determined by an equation (G/2)+T≤X≤(L/2). Here, X denotes the first coordinate, G denotes a distance between the first non-folding area and the second non-folding area of the display module, T denotes a thickness of the display module measured with respect to the second axis, and L denotes a length of the folding area.

Foldable display device including hinge part

A display module includes a panel part, a first supporting member, a second supporting member, a shielding member, and a stretchable member. The panel part includes a pixel array to display an image. The first supporting member is disposed under the panel part. The second supporting member is disposed under the panel part and adjacent to the first supporting member in a first direction. The shielding member covers a boundary area between the first supporting member and the second supporting member. The stretchable member is extended to the shielding member and disposed under the first supporting member or the second supporting member. An elongation of the stretchable member is greater than an elongation of the shielding member.

Display module and foldable display device including ihe same

A display device includes a display panel, a first metal member, a hinge member, and a first blocking member. The display panel includes a foldable area. The first metal member is disposed in a first portion on a bottom surface of the display panel. The hinge member overlaps the foldable area on a bottom surface of the first metal member, and includes a first curved portion having a first curvature. The first blocking member is disposed between the bottom surface of the first metal member and the first curved portion of the hinge member, and includes a first surface having the first curvature.

A foldable display device includes: a display panel; a first support member on a back surface of the display panel and in a first non-folding area; a second support member on a back surface of the display panel and in a second non-folding area and spaced apart from the first support member; a barrier sheet on back surfaces of the first support member and the second support member to overlap the first non-folding area, a folding axis, and the second non-folding area. The barrier sheet is on the folding axis and includes an extension portion extending along a direction of the folding axis. The first support member includes a first groove portion formed at a corner of the first support member adjacent to the folding axis, and the second support member includes a second groove portion formed at a corner of the second support member adjacent to the folding axis.

A display module provides a panel part, a first supporting member, a second supporting member, a receiving guide member and a shielding member. The panel part includes a pixel array to display an image. The first supporting member is disposed under the panel part. The second supporting member is disposed under the panel part and adjacent to the first supporting member along a first direction. The receiving guide member is combined with the second supporting member. The shielding member covers a boundary area between the first supporting member and the second supporting member, and is combined with the first supporting member, and is allowed to slide on the second supporting member and is partially disposed in a receiving space between the receiving guide member and the second supporting member, and is flexible to be bendable or foldable in response to deformation of the panel part.
