The invention relates to a crank shaft having a guide groove allowing the movement of a crank pin so as to adjust the reciprocating distance of a piston according to the rotating direction. The crank shaft comprises a rotation shaft for inducing the rotating movement; and a crank arm connected to the rotation shaft at the center and having at one side a guide groove provided horizontal in the radial direction for allowing free movement of a crank pin and elastic means provided within the guide groove to enhance the performance of sucking and compressing fluid. Accordingly, smooth and soft compression is enabled to prevent the overpressure loss. Also, the sucking performance is improved by using additional retreat due to the elastic means.

Disclosed is a valve plate structure comprising: a suction valve for inhaling a low pressure of coolant through a linear reciprocating movement of a piston and an opening and closing operation in response to the back-and-forth movement; a valve plate coupled with the suction valve, and including a suction port for inducing the low pressure of coolant through the piston movement, a discharging port for discharging a high pressure of coolant through piston movement and a groove section having a plurality of cavities provided to surround the outside of the suction port or the discharging port; a discharging valve coupled with the valve plate for discharging the high pressure coolant through the back-and-forth movement of the piston and the opening/shutting operation in response to the back-and-forth movement; and a head cover coupled with the discharging valve, and including a suction tube formed at a position corresponding to the suction port of the valve plate and a discharging tube formed at a position corresponding to the discharge port of the valve plate. The grooves formed of the plurality of cavities can damp vibration and noise having wide bands of frequency and amplitude generated from collision between the valve plate and the suction and discharging valves.

Valve plate structure

An apparatus controls cool air for directedly cooling a section which is weakly cooled or which stores new loads. The apparatus discharges the cool air by rotating a drive body in accordance with a variation of visual images taken by visual image generator before and after the load is stored. The cool air can also be discharged into a specific storage space by rotating cool air injection nozzles based upon the temperature variation of door baskets detected by temperature sensors. Therefore, a uniform temperature distribution can be maintained in the cooling device to substantially reduce an amount of power consumption.

Apparatus and method for controlling cool air in refrigerator

Disclosed is an exhaust valve capable of correctly opening/shutting an exhaust port of a cylinder based upon variation of the flux density of an electromagnet. The inventive exhaust valve may comprise a guide connected in parallel to an exhaust port of a cylinder, a needle valve provided inside the guide for opening/shutting the exhaust port while moving in cooperation with the guide. The needle valve may be controlled with an electromagnet. The invention enables complete opening of the exhaust port of the cylinder in exhaustion thereby preventing degradation of compression efficiency due to valve damage while reducing generation of vibration and noise.

A muffler of a compressor in which an imaginary central line of flowing direction in a passage pipe at an inlet side and an imaginary central line of the flowing direction in a passage pipe at an outlet side are formed to have an angle of 40&tilde;50&deg; or a curved surface having a certain curvature is formed in an extended space between an outlet end of the passage pipe at the inlet side and an outlet end of the passage pipe at the outlet side. Accordingly, the refrigerant gas which flows to the passage pipe at the outlet side through the passage pipe at the inlet side can flow smoothly as the refrigerant gas passes the curved surface and by attenuating pulsation flow between the passage pipes at the inlet side and outlet side, the refrigerant gas can be sucked smoothly. Therefore, suction amount of the refrigerant gas increases, thus to improve the efficiency of the compressor.

A suction muffler in a reciprocating compressor is installed over a suction valve to attenuate complex sound pressure (noise) such as vibrational noise, valve sonance, flowing noise and pulsative noise produced from the suction valve when low temperature, low pressure refrigerant gas ejected from an evaporator is sucked into a cylinder via the suction valve and a suction portion of the cylinder. A Tesla valve having two distribution paths is mounted in the suction muffler to attenuate the complex sound pressure (noise) while preventing the reflow of the refrigerant gas into the suction muffler from the suction valve. As a result, the Tesla valve also enhances the cooling ability of the compressor and the attenuation effect.

The invention relates to a cool air controlling apparatus for concentrically cooling a region in a refrigerator where a new load is stored. The apparatus comprises: the first cool air duct provided along a compartment wall of a refrigerator with a certain length for allowing the cool air introduced from a blowing chamber to flow therethrough; the second cool air duct having a variable length provided downward from a front end of the first cool air duct; length adjusting means connected to the second cool air duct for adjusting the length of the second cool air duct; and rotation adjusting means attached to a lower end of the second cool air duct for carrying out rotation and injecting the cool air. Reciprocating compressor

A compressor for refrigeration cycles, which is provided with a noise attenuation structure on the interior wall of the discharge plenum, is disclosed. In the compressor of this invention, a valve seat is covered with a head cover at its top to form a discharge plenum between the valve seat and the head cover. This discharge plenum temporarily stores a pressurized working fluid therein. The valve seat has a fluid inlet used for allowing an introduction of the pressurized working fluid into the discharge plenum, and a fluid outlet used for discharging the pressurized working fluid from the discharge plenum. A control valve is mounted to the valve seat so as to control the fluid inlet. A plurality of micro-projections are provided on the interior wall of the discharge plenum for absorbing and attenuating impact waves of the working fluid during an introduction of the working fluid into the discharge plenum, thus attenuating operational noises and vibrations caused by the impact waves. A plurality of spaces capable of capturing working fluid drops are defined between the projections and interior wall of the discharge plenum, thus absorbing and attenuating the impact waves of the working fluid during the introduction of the working fluid into the discharge plenum.

Suction muffler for compressor

Disclosed is a muffler in which a helicoil member is installed in each conduit, through which refrigerant gas flows from or into an expansion chamber during reciprocating movements of a piston in a cylinder. The helicoil member has diverse twisted angles and diverse twisted shapes, and serves to divide pulsation of noise, generated during the reciprocating movements of the piston, into pulsation of different phases, and then to merge the divided pulsation together, while allowing the refrigerant gas to have the form of a vortex flow. As pulsation of noise generated during an operation of sucking refrigerant gas pass along different travel paths defined by the helicoil member, a mutual interference occurs between the pulsation respectively emerging from the travel paths of the helicoil member. Therefore, an increased offset effect for the pulsation of noise is obtained, which maximizes a noise attenuation effect. It is also possible to prevent refrigerant gas from flowing reversal due to a counter pressure gradient occurring during the reciprocating movements of the piston. Accordingly, enhanced compressor efficiency is obtained.
