A foldable display device includes a flexible display panel, a case supporting the flexible display panel, a bonding member fixing the flexible display panel to the case. The case includes a hinge portion, and supports respectively coupled to the hinge portion at opposing sides of the hinge portion. The flexible display panel includes a bendable area corresponding to the hinge portion, and planar areas respectively at opposing sides of the bendable area and corresponding to the supports of the case. The bonding member is between a support of the case and the corresponding planar area of the flexible display panel, and is displaceable with respect to the support along one of a thickness direction and a width direction of the flexible display panel when the flexible display panel is folded.

Foldable display device

A foldable display device includes a flexible display panel, a case supporting the flexible display panel, a bonding member fixing the flexible display panel to the case. The case includes a hinge portion, and supports respectively coupled to the hinge portion at opposing sides of the hinge portion. The flexible display panel includes a bendable area corresponding to the hinge portion, and planar areas respectively at opposing sides of the bendable area and corresponding to the supports of the case. A display panel including a first switching element, a first pixel electrode electrically connected to the first switching element, the first pixel electrode including a reflective material. A first light emitting layer is disposed on the first pixel electrode, and emits light having a first color when a voltage is applied to the first pixel electrode. A thin encapsulation film is disposed on the first light emitting layer, and protects the first light emitting layer. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is disposed on the thin encapsulation film, and a first color filter is disposed on the pressure sensitive adhesive layer, corresponding to the first light emitting layer, and has the first color.

Display panel and method of manufacturing the same

A foldable display device including a case that stably supports a flexible display panel for improving user convenience is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display device includes a flexible display panel including a foldable area between lateral plane areas thereof and a pair of front cases surrounding a front perimeter of the flexible display panel. The device also includes a pair of bottom cases coupled with the pair of front cases to house the flexible display panel and a biaxial hinge member mounted to the bottom case in the foldable area to connect the pair of front cases to respective rotation points.

A foldable display includes a first plate, a second plate, a first protecting window, a second protecting window, a soft material layer and an intermediate layer which controls brightness. The first plate includes a thin film transistor and an organic light emitting diode ('OLED'), and displays at least one portion of an image to be displayed. The second plate includes a thin film transistor and an OLED, and displays a second portion different from the first portion of the image. The first protecting window is on the first plate. The second protecting window is on the second plate. The soft material layer is between the first and second protecting windows. An organic light-emitting display device includes a plurality of first and second electrodes which are spaced apart from each other on a substrate, a plurality of light-emitting layers between the first and second electrodes, a flexible thin encapsulation film on the second electrodes, and a color filter on the flexible thin encapsulation film.

Organic light-emitting display device and foldable display device including the same

Provided is a multi-display apparatus formed by connecting a plurality of display panels. The multi-display apparatus includes a first display panel, a second display panel disposed to overlap at least a portion of the first display panel, a transparent plate disposed only on the second display panel, or on both the first display panel and the second display panel, and a transparent window disposed on an area corresponding to the first display panel and the second display panel. A foldable display apparatus includes a bendable display panel which folds with respect to a folding axis. The display panel includes a plurality of display devices and a window layer. Each of the display devices includes a plurality of pixels each including a plurality of color elements having different colors from each other. A plurality of color elements of a same color is linearly arranged in a direct line direction which is non-parallel to the folding axis. The window layer includes a soft material part including a soft material in a folding part of the display panel, and a protective window part other than the soft material part. The protective window part protects the display part of the plurality of display devices.
