In accordance with one embodiment of the present disclosure, a cooking apparatus includes a casing, a cooking chamber formed inside the casing, a duct member formed outside the cooking chamber to extend from a first plate of the cooking chamber to a second plate forming an upper surface of the cooking chamber, a heater installed inside the duct member, and a fan installed inside the duct member and configured to blow air in the duct member, wherein the cooking chamber is formed to cook food using high-temperature air discharged into the cooking chamber through a first outlet part formed at the second plate.

Cooking apparatus

An oven includes a collision area in which air circulating inside a cooking compartment is collided to reduce the pollution inside of the cooking compartment. A collision area may collectively collect an oil mist condensed by the collision of the air. The collision area is disposed on the side where the flow of air is changed to induce air collision and guide the air to the front side of the cooking compartment to increase air circulation and increase ease of cleaning inside the cooking compartment.

The cooking appliance includes a cooking compartment, a cooling fan disposed at an upper portion of the cooking compartment to suction outside air, and a lamp module configured to illuminate an inside of the cooking compartment and disposed adjacent to the cooling fan to exchange heat with the outside air suctioned by the cooling fan.

Cooking device

Disclosed herein is a cooking appliance having an improved cooling mechanism. The cooking appliance includes a first cavity forming a first cooking chamber and a second cavity forming a second cooking chamber, and has a cooling mechanism for cooling both the first cavity and the second cavity. A separate third cooling channel is formed to exhaust air from the first cooking chamber. A vent for the first and second cavities may be formed at a lower portion of the second cavity such that air may be exhausted via the vent.

Disclosed herein are a steam generator capable of preventing water inflow into a cooking compartment and easily discharging water therefrom and a cooking apparatus having the steam generator. The steam generator includes a first part to store water therein, a second part extending from the first part and having a smaller width than the first part, a heater disposed in the first part to heat water in the first part, and a temperature sensor mounted to an outer surface of the first part to detect a temperature of the heater. Whether the steam generator lacks water is determined by detecting a temperature of the heater using the temperature sensor.

Steam generator and cooking apparatus having the same

A heating cooker including a cooker body having a cooking chamber and a convection heating unit. The convection heating unit includes a convection heater to generate heat, a convection fan to forcibly move the heat generated from the convection heater into the cooking chamber, a convection motor to drive the convection fan, and a convection housing to receive the convection heater and the convection fan. The convection heater and the convection fan are linearly arranged within the convection housing, to allow air introduced into the convection housing to move from the convection fan to the convection heater. This configuration is effective to restrict the transfer of heat from the convection heater to the convection motor.

A microwave oven is capable of cooking food using steam produced in a cooking cavity. The microwave oven includes a cabinet in which a cooking cavity is defined. A microwave oven includes a body which defines an appearance of the microwave oven, a cooking cavity provided therein, a microwave-supplying unit which generates microwaves to irradiate the microwaves into the cooking cavity, a plurality of vent holes which are formed on a sidewall of the cooking cavity to ventilate the cooking cavity, a water collecting depression which is formed on a bottom of the cooking cavity to contain water therein to generate steam, and a vent hole control unit which selectively closes the vent holes. During a steam cleaning operation of the microwave oven, the vent holes are closed to prevent a leakage of the steam from the cooking cavity to the outside of the microwave oven.

A cooking vessel used with microwave ovens, which produces steam through a microwave heating method and cooks food using the steam. The cooking vessel includes a lower body containing water therein and made of a microwave permeable material. A food supporting plate is seated, at its edge, on an upper edge of the lower body in such a way as to be spaced apart from a bottom of the lower body, and is made of a microwave blocking material. A plurality of perforations are formed on the food supporting plate to allow steam to pass. A lid covers the lower body, and is made of a microwave blocking material. A steam discharging hole is formed on the lid. The lid is seated at its lower edge on the upper edge of the lower body in such a way that the lower edge of the lid is spaced apart from the edge of the food supporting plate by a predetermined interval, thus allowing a predetermined amount of microwaves to penetrate into the lid.
