An optical device is provided. The optical device is capable of varying transmittance, and such optical device can be used for various applications such as eyewear, for example, sunglasses or AR (augmented reality) or VR (virtual reality) eyewear, an outer wall of a building or a sunroof for a vehicle.

Method for manufacturing optical device

An optical device and a use thereof are provided. The optical device is capable of suppressing external bubble inflow by eliminating negative pressures that can occur due to shape deformation of a base material in an environment changing between a high temperature and a low temperature and generating a positive pressure. Such optical device can be used as various transmittance-variable devices.

A method for manufacturing an optical device and an optical device is provided. The manufacturing method is capable of minimizing or eliminating dotting unevenness that may occur when an optical device is manufactured by a dotting process. In particular, even when a large cell gap is present or a polymer substrate is applied as a substrate so that high-temperature heat treatment is impossible, such method of the present application can provide an alignment film having improved orientation by improving the dotting unevenness.

Method for manufacturing optical device by varying rubbing strength

A transmittance-variable film and the use thereof are provided. The transmittance-variable film can be useful in switching between a clear state and a dark state and reducing a difference in contrast ratio between left and right viewing angles, thereby securing excellent bilateral symmetry. Such a transmittance-variable film can be applied to various applications including various materials for buildings or vehicles requiring the control of transmissivity, or eyewear such as goggles for sports or experiencing augmented realities, sunglasses, helmets, etc.

Provided are a display panel, a backward diode equipped on a bottom surface of the display panel, a packaging film for packaging the backward diode, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed between the display panel and the packaging film. The packaging film includes a first region corresponding to a top surface of the backward diode, and a second region extending from the first region and corresponding to a side surface of the backward diode. Due to the display device, a bezel region can be minimized.
