A thin film battery includes: a cathode body; and an anode body which is laminated on at least one of an upper portion or a lower portion of the abode body, in which the cathode body includes: a cathode plate on which a cathode active material is applied; a pair of separators which covers an upper surface and a lower surface of the cathode plate; and a polymer insulating film unit interposed between the pair of separators and a portion of the polymer insulating film unit which protrudes outwardly from an edge of the separator is bonded to an anode plate of the anode body.

The present invention relates to a lithium ion secondary battery, and more particularly, to a lithium ion secondary battery which makes the best use of an accommodating space in electronic apparatus in which a secondary battery is accommodated or mounted to maximize a performance of the battery. A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly in which a plurality of pocketing anode bodies and a plurality of cathode bodies are alternately stacked, in which a concavely recessed space is formed in the electrode assembly, and the space may be formed in the plurality of pocketing anode bodies and the plurality of cathode bodies excluding a cathode body disposed at the lowest end of the electrode assembly.

Lithium ion secondary battery configured to make best use of an accommodating space in an electronic apparatus

A wrapping electrode assembly for use in a secondary battery manufactured by an electrode-stacking method includes: an electrode plate which has a coating layer of an electrode active material and a non-coated protruding portion, the electrode active material being capable of reversibly inserting and extracting lithium ions; first and second separator films which cover both surfaces of the electrode plate while exposing only the non-coated protruding portion; and an insulating polymer film which is positioned between the first separator film and the second separator film at least on a portion of a circumference of the electrode plate to be bonded to the first separator film and the second separator film, wherein the insulating polymer film is formed as being divided into at least two parts.
