A memory card includes a card substrate on which a controller and a memory device are mounted, and a card enclosure that accommodates the card substrate and exposes terminals for electrical connection to an external device. The controller is operable in a universal flash storage (UFS) mode and in a first sub-mode other than the UFS mode. The terminals that are exposed include a UFS terminal group according to a UFS standard, and a first sub-mode terminal group. The UFS terminal group includes first row terminals arranged adjacent to an insertion side edge of the memory card and second row terminals arranged apart from the insertion side edge such that the first row terminals are provided between the second row terminals and the insertion side edge. The first sub-mode terminal group is adjacent to the first row terminals.

Memory card and electronic system

A memory card and an electronic system including the memory card. The memory card includes: a substrate having two pairs of edges, in which the edges of each pair face each other; a plurality of first row terminals that are arranged adjacent to an edge at an insertion side of the substrate and include a first voltage power terminal; a plurality of second row terminals that are spaced farther apart from the edge at the insertion side than the plurality of first row terminals and include a power terminal of a second voltage. According to the memory card, efficient use of an area may be maximized and an electrically stable power supply may be provided.

Memory card

A memory card includes a card substrate on which a controller and a memory device are mounted, and a card enclosure that accommodates the card substrate and exposes terminals capable of being electrically connected to an external device, wherein the controller is operable in a universal flash storage (UFS) mode and in a first sub-mode other than the UFS mode.

A memory card includes first and second groups of terminals, at least one controller, and first and second nonvolatile memories. The first group of terminals are adjacent to an edge at an insertion side of a substrate and include a first power terminal to provide a first voltage. The second group of terminals is spaced farther apart from the edge at the insertion side than the first group of terminals and includes a second power terminal to provide a second voltage. The at least one memory controller is connected to the first and second groups of terminals, and the first and second nonvolatile memories are independently connected to the at least one controller. The at least one controller simultaneously accesses the first nonvolatile memory and the second nonvolatile memory when the first group of terminals and the second group of terminals are connected to an external host.

Memory cards and storage systems including the same

A memory card adaptor is provided herein. The memory card adaptor may include a housing having a slot configured to accommodate a memory card. The memory card may include a signal terminal and non-signal terminals. For example, the signal terminal may be a high-speed and/or data transfer terminal, and the non-signal terminal may be a power or voltage terminal. The signal terminal may be at least partially exposed via a signal terminal opening in the housing when the memory card is accommodated in the slot. The memory card adaptor may also include at least one card-side terminal arranged so as to be capable of contacting at least one of the non-signal terminals. The at least one card-side terminal may be electrically connected, for example via a wiring line, to at least one socket-side terminal arranged so as to be capable of contacting terminals of a host socket

A memory card adaptor may include a plurality of card-side terminals arranged to contact terminals of a memory card, a plurality of socket-side terminals arranged in a first direction to contact terminals of a host socket and including at least two socket-side ground terminals, wiring lines configured to electrically connect the plurality of card-side terminals to the plurality of socket-side terminals in a one-to-one correspondence, a ground frame configured to electrically connect the at least two socket-side ground terminals to each other, and a housing that accommodates the plurality of card-side terminals, the plurality of socket-side terminals, and the wiring lines. The memory card adaptor may have good electrical characteristics, and thus may be able to stably operate even during fast data transmission.

Memory card adapter

An optical detection device for biochemically analyzing samples of microfluidic chips such as DNA chips or protein chips is provided. The optical detection device includes a light source for generating excitation light to excite a sample, a detection plate having an optical waveguide with the sample mounted thereon, a linear symmetry lens for shaping the excitation light into a desired shape having a uniform intensity distribution and transmitting it to the detection plate, and a detector for detecting radiation from the sample.
