The present invention concerns a high-pressure hose comprising a liquid and gas tight inner liner made from rubber, plastic or thermoplastic elastomer, at least four helically laid reinforcing plies embedded in polymer material, and an outer cover layer made from rubber, plastic or thermoplastic elastomer, wherein adjacent reinforcing cable plies are directed in the same direction and the follow-up ply pair is laid in opposite sense. Additionally, the pitch of filaments of adjacent unidirectional reinforcement plies is the same and the number of filaments is equal or different. The present invention further concerns methods for the production of such hoses and the use of such hoses.

High pressure hose with improved flexibility

The invention relates to a bonded high-pressure rubber hose comprising a flexible internal stripwound tube (), a liquid and gas tight liner () made from rubber or plastic, reinforcing plies embedded in rubber, and in specific cases an adhesively bonded coupling body (), the lower reinforcing ply or plies being disposed at an angle smaller than the so-called angle of equilibrium (35.26&#xb0;). The invention is characterized by that in addition to the primary liner the hose () comprises a liquid and gas tight secondary liner () disposed above the small angle reinforcing ply or plies (), and that the following inequality holds for the angle of lay of the lowest reinforcing ply () of the hose: &#x2022;where &#x2022;ais the angle of lay of the lowest small angle reinforcing ply () &#x2022;D s is the outside diameter of the internal stripwound tube () &#x2022;Dis the mean diameter of the lowest small angle reinforcing ply ().

Bonded high-pressure rubber hose, particularly for conveying gaseous media

A long-length hose spliced from two or more hoses containing an inner sealing layer, at least two spirally laid reinforcing plies, and a cover. A liner forming the inner sealing layer is formed by leak-tight splicing of liners of hoses to be spliced and the reinforcing plies are embedded into filling/adhesive material inside of a rigid outer sleeve, at the location of the splicing.
