A method includes sending wireless data to a receiver node and receiving feedback from the receiver node that identifies a subset of the wireless data that the receiver node failed to receive correctly and that includes a token value as a label for the subset of the wireless data as a group. The method includes constructing retransmission wireless data that includes the subset of the wireless data and the token value. The method includes sending the retransmission wireless data to the receiver node. The receiver node may be a first client device. The method further includes allocating a first set of token values to the first client device and a second set of non-overlapping token values to a second client device in a network. The method includes respectively notifying the first and second client device of the corresponding set of token values for retransmissions requested by the corresponding client device.

Feedback and retransmission format of HARQ protocol

An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having one or more radios and one or more antennas. The wireless circuitry may operate in the presence of radio-frequency interference coming from various sources, which can cause a loss of sensitivity or desensitization of the wireless circuitry. To detect and mitigate desensitization of the wireless circuitry, one or more processors may receive wireless circuitry performance metric data, discriminate between wideband interference and narrowband interference based on the wireless circuitry performance metric data, and use different representative noise floor values for wideband interference or narrowband interference to characterize the desensitization of the wireless circuitry.

Methods and systems may include processes by which the reliability and robustness of a wireless network may be improved. In some implementations, a method may include selecting at least two resource units to be used for communications to a single client device; and transmitting data in duplicate via each of the at least two resource units to the client device such that the client device is able to combine the data from each of the at least two resource units into a single instance of the data. In some implementations, a method may include obtaining notification of one or more ranges of frequencies corresponding to a set of resource units to be avoided in a spectrum of available frequencies, and allocating resource units to a set of client devices that covers the available frequencies while excluding the set of resource units to be avoided.

A method includes sending wireless data to a receiver node. The method includes sending the retransmission wireless data to the receiver node.

A method may include determining at a first AP that a first original packet sent from a second AP to a STA failed to decode at the STA. The method may include sending from the first AP a first retransmission packet that includes error correction information for the first original packet the STA. The method may include the first AP coordinating with a third AP that is sending an ongoing communication to another STA to avoid interference between the first retransmission packet and the ongoing communication. The method may include sending a second original packet from the first AP to the STA or the other STA.

Hybrid distributed retry mechanism

Example operations may include obtaining a first received signal of a first wireless transmission by a transmitting device of a wireless signal received at a receiving device. The operations may also include obtaining a second received signal of a second wireless transmission by the transmitting device that is a retransmission of the wireless signal also received at the receiving device. The operations may further include determining, based on the first received signal and the second received signal, an equalization of distortion of propagation of the wireless signal between the transmitting device and the receiving device. In addition, the operations may include generating an equalized signal based on the determined signal equalization, wherein the equalized signal is an estimate of the wireless signal as transmitted by the transmitting device.

Received signal equalization of wireless transmissions

An example method may include receiving, from a wireless sniffer, sniffer data for a window of time, where the sniffer data may include wireless signal data. The method may also include obtaining corresponding access point data from an access point in a wireless network for at least part of the window of time for which the sniffer data is received. The method may additionally include analyzing the sniffer data and the corresponding access point data to assess performance of the wireless network.

Remote wireless sniffer management

An example method may include receiving a wireless packet from a sender node at a receiver node that includes a PHY and a MAC. The wireless packet may include multiple codewords. The method may include error checking the codewords at the PHY of the receiver node for codeword-level errors. The method may include generating multiple MPDUs from the codewords. The method may include error checking the MPDUs at the MAC of the receiver node for MPDU-level errors. The method may include generating two-tier feedback based on the error checking at the PHY and the MAC of the receiver node. The method may include sending the two-tier feedback to the sender node.
