Methods performed by a wireless device and a base station for adapting maximum allowed Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) based on operational occasion periodicity are provided. In examples disclosed herein, a wireless device is configured to determine an operational occasion periodicity of a signal that is subject to CCA. Accordingly, the wireless device can determine an association at least between the determined operational occasion periodicity and a maximum number of allowed CCA failures for communicating the signal. The wireless device can then perform one or more operational tasks based on the determined maximum number of allowed CCA failures. By determining the maximum number of allowed CCA failures, the wireless device can obtain information about downlink CCA failures and use the obtained information for adapting measurements procedures in serving cell operational tasks.

Adapting maximum allowed CCA failures based on single occasion periodicity

A method in a wireless device is disclosed. The wireless device receives an uplink grant from a network node, the uplink grant scheduling one or more uplink transmissions by the wireless device. The wireless device selects an ON/OFF time mask to use for transmitting the one or more uplink transmissions. The wireless device determines, based on the received uplink grant, an allowed placement of a transient period of the selected ON/OFF time mask and a duration of the transient period to use for the one or more uplink transmissions.

According to certain embodiments, a method by a wireless device is provided for determining a maximum output power. The method includes obtaining, by the wireless device, a first time resource for transmitting a first signal in βa first cell on a first carrier and a second time resource for transmitting a second signal in a second cell on a second carrier. Based on the first time resource and the second time resource, the maximum output power is 10 determined. The first signal and the second signal are transmitted based on the determined maximum output power.

Systems and methods to derive configured output power with different TTI

A method, system and apparatus for switching of a transmission between cell groups. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a network node is configured to provide a first cell on a first carrier and to communicate with a wireless device where the first cell is part of a first cell group is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to: receive a transmission from a wireless device after a time period following a switching of a transmission from a second cell being part of a second cell group, the first cell group being different from the second cell group; and determine a timing value corresponding to the time period, the time value being associated at least in part with the second cell group.

Systems and methods for providing flexible time masks for transmission in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a node in a wireless communication system comprises providing, to a wireless device, an indication of a position of a transient period during a time mask, where the position of the transient period is adapted to a clear channel assessment period at the wireless device or the position of the transient period is such that the transient period occurs at least partially during a clear channel assessment period. The time mask defines an OFF period during which a transmitter of the wireless device is to be off, an ON period during which the transmitter of the wireless device is to be on, and the transient period. The transient period is a period during which the transmitter of the wireless device is to ramp-up or ramp-down.
