There is provided an adjustment device and an operation method of the adjustment device that enable a positional relationship between a mask and an imaging element in a lensless camera to be adjusted with high accuracy and in a simple manner. When white light as incident light passes through a mask including a transmissive region including a plurality of condenser elements and a light-shielding region and provided at a preceding stage of an imaging element, the mask is adjusted to establish an appropriate positional relationship between the mask and the imaging element on the basis of a color of light corresponding to a wavelength of an image captured by the imaging element. The present disclosure is applicable to a calibration device for a mask and an imaging element in a lensless camera.

The lensless camera includes a mask that has a plurality of lenses that transmit and condense incident light in part of a light shielding material, and modulates and transmits the incident light; an imaging element that images the incident light modulated by the mask as a pixel signal; and a signal processing unit that reconstructs the pixel signal as a final image by signal processing, the optical axis directions of the lenses to be disposed in the mask are adjusted so that only the incident light having passed through the mask is condensed and enters the imaging element. The present disclosure can be applied to lensless cameras.

A field of view of a captured image of a lensless camera can be controlled, and a configuration of generating a restored image including part of an imaging region is realized. Included is a signal processing unit that receives observed image signals as output of an image sensor of a lensless camera to generate a restored image of a restored image region including part of a captured image region of the lensless camera. The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus and an imaging method that permit capture of a bright image without using an expensive large-diameter lens. A mirror surface having an opening portion larger in area than an imaging element is formed at a former stage of the imaging element. The mirror surface concentrates light from a subject surface. The imaging apparatus captures an image formed by light that directly enters the imaging element and light that is reflected by the mirror surface and reconstructs a final image from the captured image. The present disclosure is applicable to an imaging apparatus.

Imaging apparatus and imaging method for capturing bright image without using expensive large-diameter lens

The present disclosure relates to an image-capturing apparatus, an image-capturing method, and an image-capturing device that allow reduction of an influence of diffraction due to opening sections of a mask in lensless image-capturing. Before a mask, a band-pass filter that is divided into a plurality of areas, each of which transmits incident light in a different wavelength band, is provided, and the mask that includes opening sections, and modulates the incident light, which has been transmitted through the band-pass filter, in the wavelength bands that are different for the individual areas is provided. The opening sections of the mask have such unit sizes that blurring resulting from diffraction which occurs to each wavelength of the incident light is minimized. The present disclosure can be applied to a lensless image-capturing apparatus.
