A method for providing a mining work machine at a work site with production control information, the method including: assigning, on the basis of overall production management information of the work site, the mining work machine with production control information, defining tasks to be performed by the work machine; downloading the control information to a mobile terminal from one or more downloading points associated with a production management system, the mobile terminal and the one or more downloading points including an application for mutually synchronizing desired control information; providing the mobile terminal in a vicinity of the mining work machine, the mining work machine further having an application for mutually synchronizing desired control information; performing an authentication between the mobile terminal and the mining work machine; selecting the control information to be downloaded to the mining work machine; and downloading the selected control information to the mining work machine wirelessly.

Arrangement for delivery of production control information to a mining work machine

An apparatus, rock drilling rig and method for rock drilling includes a turning device for moving a drilling tool around longitudinal axis of the tool. The turning movement is controlled by an alternating turning system so that direction of turning movement is continuously reversed to first and second turning directions. The turning angle of the tool is restricted and a safety system (is configured to monitor the operation and to ensure that a predetermined turning angle is not exceeded.

Apparatus, rock drilling rig and method for rock drilling

A method of quarrying dimensional stone and a line drilling apparatus used therein. The drilling apparatus is frameless and comprises a first boom and a second boom, between which is arranged a joint mechanism, allowing the booms to be moved relative to each other. Furthermore, in connection with the joint mechanism is arranged a stone support adaptable against the stone once the drilling apparatus is coarse-positioned in the vicinity of a drill hole line. Fine positioning of the drilling apparatus in the direction of the drill hole line is performed by joints comprised by the joint mechanism. Positioning at drill holes takes place by turning the second boom along an arched motion path and by turning the drilling unit towards the stone to be drilled.
