Method, apparatus and computer program product to utilize context ontology in mobile device application personalization

Pre-stored or bundled content such as programs can be enabled by using an RFID tag with suitable authorization information according to a process, in which the informs a host device of contents that can be activated with the RFID tag, the host device obtains respective authorization information from the RFID tag and subsequently refreshes the authorization in order to extend the activation over a desired period of time. Unless refreshed, the authorization is terminated after a given interval as of the authorization so that the substantial use of the content is subjected to the possession of the RFID tag and a license can be sold or transferred together with the RFID tag.

RFID authorization of content to an electronic device

A RF-ID tag, preferably passive, provides an event indicating the tag has been successfully interrogated by a reader for data transmission. The event may be voice, light, color, vibration, odor, or different combinations of event indicators. The tag includes an antenna linked to a micro processor and a memory. A non-linear device and for example a light emitting device (LED) are coupled to the microprocessor and memory as an indicator circuit. The reader transmits electromagnetic energy received by the tag antenna when within the reader transmission zone. The energy is sufficient for the tag to transmit data from the memory to the reader. As the tag is read by the reader, the data stream includes a few bytes at the end to indicate the reading was successful. The reader energy is also sufficient to cause the illumination of the LED providing a tag indication that a successful tag transmission has occurred.

Indicating radio frequency identification (RF-ID) tag

The invention describes a method for controlling access in a telecommunication system comprising a first transmitter-receiver unit, a second transmitter-receiver unit and a remote-controllable server. The method comprises establishing a telecommunication connection from the first transmitter-receiver unit to the remote-controllable server; transmitting an electric form from the first transmitter-receiver unit to the remote-controllable server in order to unlock a lock, the form including a digital signature and a certificate indicating the authenticity of a user of the first transmitter-receiver unit; transmitting a message from the remote-controllable server to the second transmitter-receiver unit to indicate that the electric form has been received, the message including the certificate indicating the authenticity of the user of the first transmitter-receiver unit; transmitting a command to unlock the lock from the second transmitter-receiver unit to the remote-controllable server, and unlocking at least one lock.
