A method for providing quick access to functions from a locked screen may include receiving an indication of entry of an activation input at a user terminal while the user terminal is displaying a locked screen, causing a launch of an application associated with performance of a function associated with the application from the locked screen and without completion of an unlock procedure in response to the activation input, enabling the function to be performed while the activation input is provided, and causing the user terminal to revert to the locked screen in response to removal of the activation input. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

This invention relates to a display device, a method, a computer program and a system including a display device, wherein said display device includes at least one light transmissive area configured to be coupled to a light source in order to be provided with backlight, at least one light reflective area, at least one light transmission control element associated with said at least one light reflective area, wherein said display device is configured to be switched into a reflective blocking state when said at least one light transmissive area is provided with backlight, and wherein in said reflective blocking state said at least one light transmission control element causes light-blocking.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus. The apparatus includes a housing, electronic circuitry, and an electronic component. The electronic circuitry is in the housing. The electronic circuitry includes a first capacitive connection pad. The electronic component is removably attached to an outer surface of the housing. The electronic component includes a second capacitive connection pad located opposite the first capacitive connection pad to form a capacitive connection between the electronic circuitry and the electronic component.

An apparatus including a first display configured to be able to display user content and to have an active display state in which said user content can be stably displayed via active powering of the display, and a second display configured to be able to display user content and to have a passive display state in which said user content can be stably displayed without active powering of the display. Apparatus and associated methods

An apparatus includes a layer including a material which has an electrically controllable transparency. At least a part of the layer is arranged to cover at least a part of a surface of a display. The apparatus further includes electrical contacts arranged to enable an electrical control of the transparency of the layer. When employing such an apparatus, it may be determined which appearance the layer is to assume. The transparency of the layer can then be controlled in accordance with the determined appearance.
