A display device includes a first pixel arranged with a first light emitting element having a first pixel electrode and a common electrode, and a drive transistor having an input/output terminal, one end of the input/output terminal being connected to the first pixel electrode, and a second pixel adjoins the first pixel electrode, and is arranged with a second light emitting element having a second pixel electrode and the common electrode, wherein the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are connected via first switch.

A display device related to one embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of pixel circuits each connected to a scanning signal line, initialization control signal line, light emitting control signal line and video signal line, wherein each of the plurality of pixel circuits includes a first transistor connected to the scanning signal line and the video signal line, a second transistor connected to a first node and the first transistor, a third transistor connected to the first node and a scanning signal line, a fourth transistor connected to the second transistor and the light emitting control signal line, and a fifth transistor connected to the second transistor, a power supply voltage line, and the light emitting control signal line.

A display device including pixel circuit groups containing pixel circuits. The pixel circuit groups each contain: a first transistor whose first terminal is connected to a power source potential line; and a sixth transistor whose control terminal is connected to a first scanning signal line and whose first terminal is connected to an image signal line. Display device with reduced number of transistors and its driving method

A method of driving a display device includes the following steps: a step of applying a first voltage to a drain of the driving transistor from the first power supply line, while applying an initialization voltage lower than the first voltage to a gate of the driving transistor; a step of applying a voltage higher than the initialization voltage lower than the first voltage to the drain of the driving transistor, and applying a voltage based on a video signal to the gate of the driving transistor; and a step of applying the first voltage to a drain of the driving transistor from the first power supply line and supplying a current to the light emitting element while holding the voltage based on the video signal to the gate of the driving transistor.
