A method for enabling attestation of a platform comprising a Trusted Execution Environment, TEE, and a Trusted Platform Module, TPM is disclosed. The method is performed by the TEE and comprises: receiving, from an Application of the platform, a request for generation of an attestation quote, the request comprising a nonce, information on which PCR(s) to be used and information about Attestation Keys; establishing a connection to the TPM and obtaining from it at least one PCR value; generating an attestation quote based on the received nonce and the at least one PCR value; signing the attestation, and rendering the attestation quote available for the Application.

Methods and means for attestation of a platform

A mechanism and method are provided for attesting a platform entity. The method is performed by a verification entity. The method may include performing mutual authentication between a TEE of the verification entity and a TEE of the platform entity. The method may include sending, towards the TEE of the platform entity, a first piece of protected secret data. The method may include sending, towards the TEE of the platform entity, at least one protected nonce. The method may include receiving, from the TEE of the platform entity, a protected concatenation of the secret data and the at least one nonce. The method may include attesting the platform entity by, in the TEE of the verification entity, verifying that the secret data and the at least one nonce received from the platform entity are identical to the sent secret data and at least one nonce.

Attestation of a platform entity

A content distribution system is described herein which enables a data owner of content to set one or more restrictions on a data consumer where the one or more restrictions need to be satisfied by a data consumer device before the data consumer has access to the content. In addition, the content distribution system's components are described herein which include a data owner device, a key server, a data consumer device, a data producer device, and a content server.
