A method of adjusting imaging apparatus including: (a) charging a photoreceptor surface to a first voltage; (b) selectively discharging portions of the charged photoreceptor surface, with a beam of electromagnetic energy such as a laser beam or LED output, having a controllable power, to form a predefined electrostatic latent test image on the photoreceptor surface; (c) developing, using a second voltage different from the first voltage, a layer of charged toner particles onto the selectively discharged portions of the photoreceptor surface, thereby providing a developed test image corresponding to the latent test image; (d) measuring the apparent optical density of portions of the developed test image, including a solid print portion and a predetermined gray level portion; (e) comparing the measured solid and gray level optical densities with predetermined, desired, solid and gray level optical densities; and (f) adjusting the second voltage and the power of the laser beam based on the comparison between the measured and desired solid and gray level optical densities.

C/A method of calibrating a color for monochrome electrostatic imaging

Imaging apparatus including an imaging surface having a toner image formed thereon and an intermediate transfer member, which receives the toner image from the imaging surface and from which it is subsequently transferred. The intermediate transfer member includes a drum having mounting recesses formed therein and an intermediate transfer blanket mounted on the drum. The blanket has a layered transfer portion having a transfer surface on one face thereof which receives the toner image and optionally an adhesive layer on the opposite face thereof and a mounting fixture, attached to one edge of the layered transfer portion and adapted to mate with the mounting recesses in the drum, whereby the transfer blanket is fixedly and removably mounted on the drum.

Imaging apparatus and intermediate transfer blanket therefor

An intermediate transfer member having a release surface suitable for receiving liquid toner images which include toner particles and a hydrocarbon carrier liquid from a first surface and for transferring them to a second surface, wherein the release surface includes a silicone material, preferably, a oxime cured silicone rubber. Imaging apparatus incorporating the member preferably includes a device for removing excess carrier liquid from the silicone material after an image is transferred to the second surface.

An imaging apparatus incorporating a substantially rectangular organic photoreceptor sheet having a base layer, a conductive layer and a photoconductive layer, wherein along one edge of the photoreceptor sheet there is an exposed conductive area, a drum having a longitudinal cavity formed therein and including a slot formed between the cavity and the cylindrical surface of the drum into which the one edge of the photoreceptor sheet is inserted and a rotatable element within the cavity which, in a locking position, presses the photoreceptor sheet against a wall of the cavity, fixedly and removably holding the photoreceptor sheet in place.
