A T-type buck-boost power factor correction (PFC) rectifier (TBPR) comprises a power inductor, first and second storage capacitors, and first, second and third bi-directional switches. The first bidirectional switch connects a power supply input to a first end of the power inductor, the second bidirectional switch connects the first end of the power inductor to a first end of the first capacitor and the third bidirectional switch connects the first end of the power inductor to a first end of the second capacitor. At the same time, the second end of the first capacitor, the second end of the second capacitor and the second end of the power inductor are connected to a common node.

T-type buck-boost rectifier

An integrated circuit is built with enhancement mode Gallium Nitride (GaN) components. The integrated circuit comprises a comparator circuit which compares an input voltage with a reference voltage to provide a controllable constant current source, the comparator having a drive transistor having a positive threshold voltage, the drive transistor being switched on and off based on a comparison result of the comparator. The circuit may drive ring oscillators and may provide pulse width modulation with variable duty cycle at constant frequency.

Control circuit for ring oscillator-based power controller

A switching circuit comprises a main switch element having a gate as a control input; and a ring oscillator connected as a driver circuit to the gate to drive the main switch via the gate. The basic circuit is used to build various components which have the property that they can work at very high frequencies.
