An underwater information visualization device, which is installed on a moving body such as a ship traveling near a water surface and visualizes and displays information about fish in the water and the seabed using an ultrasonic wave, includes circuitry that generates a pseudo noise sequence signal and a modulation circuit that modulates a carrier signal to form a transmission signal, emits a transmission signal as an ultrasonic wave into the water, receives an echo of an ultrasonic wave, determines an echo corresponding to a transmission signal by subjecting the echo to correlation processing with a pseudo noise sequence signal, displays an output signal. The display simultaneously displays multiple reception signals on a screen, and a period of transmission signals is (2D/Vu) or less when an underwater sonic wave speed is Vu and a distance to the seabed is D.

An echo measuring apparatus has: a transmission signal forming unit for forming a transmission signal by a pseudo noise sequence signal; a transmitting unit for transmitting the transmission signal as an ultrasonic wave into the water; a receiving unit for receiving an echo of the ultrasonic wave; and a correlator for discriminating the echo corresponding to the transmission signal by executing a correlating process to the echo by the pseudo noise sequence signal and measuring a distance to a measurement target on the basis of a time difference between the transmission signal and the echo, wherein assuming that a velocity of a sound wave in the water is equal to Vu and the distance to the measurement target is equal to D, a period of the transmission signal includes a case where it is equal to or less than (2D/Vu).

A method and device for displaying an underwater detection image is provided, in which an ultrasonic signal having a predetermined beam width is periodically transmitted underwater, receives a signal reflected on a detection target object which moves underwater, generates information on the detection target object based on the received signal, and displays the information on a display module. The method includes periodically detecting the detection target object and a position thereof based on the received signal, coupling the same detection target objects by associating the same based on the detection target object and the position periodically detected, and associating a displacement symbol corresponding to a change in a position of the detection target object with the coupled detection target object, and displaying the displacement symbol at the detected position of the detection target object at least on a two-dimensional position coordinates displayed in the display module.
