A radio-frequency voltage generator includes a first DC power supply for generating first direct-current voltage; a second DC power supply for generating second direct-current voltage; a transient alternating voltage generation circuit for generating a transient alternating voltage having a cycle shorter than a cycle of the radio-frequency voltage and having a voltage value oscillating between the first direct-current voltage and the second direct-current voltage; and a voltage switch section for switching voltages from the first direct-current voltage, to the transient alternating voltage, to the second direct-current voltage, and to the transient alternating voltage in this order, wherein the voltage switch section switches the voltages applied to the load so that the transient alternating voltage oscillates a half-integer of times starting with an initial value having the value of the direct-current voltage applied immediately before the switching, the half-integer being equal to or greater than 1.5.

Radio-frequency voltage generator

The rotary cathode X-ray tube equipment of present invention is constructed so as to permit radiation of X-ray from all directions with respect to the whole circumference of a subject, and is used for x-ray CT. The equipment of the invention is constructed to prevent an X-ray radiation window 40 of a low strength from being influenced by atmospheric deformations of a vacuum vessel 1 or by machining and assembling errors, for example by using a joint portion disposed between the X-ray radiation window and an inner ring and having both a surface perpendicular to a rotational axis of a rotary member and a cylindrical surface parallel to the rotational axis, a face seal formed on the surface of the joint portion perpendicular to the rotational axis, and an axial seal formed on the cylindrical surface of the joint portion parallel to the rotational axis.

Rotary cathode x-ray tube equipment

In a multipole linear accelerator such as of a quadrupole type, fine positional adjustment of the tip portions of the electrodes constituting the multipole structure can be made with electric contact kept substantially unaffected between the electrodes and the cavity drum in which the electrodes are mounted. Each of the electrodes are provided with a series of contact plates on both sides of the root portion of the electrode over the whole length thereof. Each of the contact plates, which are held to the root portion of the electrode by means of an adjusting screw bolt, slantwise bridges the root portion of the electrode and the inner surface of the cavity drum with elastic contact pieces interposed. Tightening or loosing the adjusting screw bolts on both sides of the electrode displaces the electrode with electric contact kept unchanged between the electrode and the cavity drum by the elastic effect of the above contact pieces made to interpose between the contact plates and both the electrodes and the cavity drum.
