A plated steel includes: a steel; a zinc based electroplated layer formed on a surface of the steel; and an organic resin coating layer formed on a surface of the zinc based electroplated layer, in which the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer has hairline extending in a predetermined direction, Ra (ML) measured on the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer is 0.10 to 0.70 &#x3bc;m, on the surface of the zinc based electroplated layer, a peak number PPI measured in a hairline orthogonal direction with a reference level of 10 &#x3bc;inch satisfies PPI&#x2265;350&#xd7;Ra (MC) with respect to Ra (MC), on a surface of the organic resin coating layer, Ra (CC) satisfies Ra (CC)/Ra (CL)&#x2265;1.10 with respect to Ra (CL), and Ra (CC) satisfies Ra (CC)&#x3c;Ra (MC) with respect to Ra (MC).

Plated steel

Provided is a surface treated steel sheet for a fuel tank, the surface treated steel sheet including: a Zn plated layer or a Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer which is formed on at least a surface of the steel sheet to be an inner surface of the fuel tank; and a chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer containing a water-and-oil repellent, the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer being placed over the Zn plated layer or the Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer on the surface to be the inner surface of the fuel tank. A water contact angle on a surface of the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer is more than or equal to 70 degrees and an n-hexadecane contact angle on the surface of the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer is more than or equal to 30 degrees and less than or equal to 70 degrees.

Surface treated steel sheet for fuel tank

Exemplary embodiments of the present invention can provide a galvanization method for hot-rolled steel sheet, cold-rolled steel sheet, or plating sheet of various compositions, which can avoid nonplating defects by using an Ni preplating procedure. For example, an exemplary galvanization method can be provided for pickled hot-rolled steel sheet or annealed cold-rolled steel sheet which is free from non-plating defects which includes cleaning the surface of the plating sheet, preplating it with Ni, rapidly heating the sheet in a nonoxidizing or reducing atmosphere to a sheet temperature of about 430 to 500&#xb0; C. at a heating a rate of about 20&#xb0; C./sec or more, and then hot dip plating the sheet in a galvanization bath. The exemplary amount of Ni preplating can be determined based on the plate type and amount of Si in the sheet steel to produce a hot dip galvanization that is free from non-plating defects.

Method for hot-dip galvanizing a steel sheet

Exemplary embodiments of the present invention can provide a method for producing hot dip galvannealed steel sheet which exhibits high strength, high ductility, and a significant degree of alloying. Such exemplary method can be applied to, e.g., a pickled hot rolled steel sheet or an annealed and pickled cold rolled steel sheet containing between about 0.02% and about 0.2% C and between about 0.15% and about 2.5% Mn, and may include one or more procedures for rinsing the sheet, preplating the sheet with Ni, rapidly heating the sheet in a nonoxidizing atmosphere to a sheet temperature of about 430&#xb0; C. to 500&#xb0; C., then hot dip plating the sheet in a galvanizing bath containing between about 0.05% and about 0.2% Al, and then immediately heating the sheet rapidly for an alloying treatment. Such exemplary method can provide an improved alloying speed, improved plating appearance and better plating adhesion.

Method for producing high-strength hot-dip galvannealed steel sheet

Exemplary embodiments of the present invention can provide a hot dip galvannealed steel sheet which has excellent corrosion resistance, workability, coatability and appearance. The exemplary galvannealed sheet can include an ultra-low carbon steel sheet having a plating layer which includes about 8 to 13% Fe, about 0.05 to 1.0% Ni, about 0.15 to 1.5% Al, and a balance of Zn and unavoidable impurities. An exemplary method for producing a hot dip galvannealed steel sheet is also provided which can include cleaning an annealed ultra-low carbon steel sheet, preplating it with Ni, rapidly heating the sheet in a nonoxidizing or reducing atmosphere, plating the sheet in a galvanization bath containing Al, wiping it, then rapidly reheating it and either cooling the sheet without any soaking time or soaking and holding it for less than 15 seconds and then cooling it.

Hot dip galvannealed steel sheet and method for producing the same

A Ni-containing-surface-treated steel sheet for a can, which is formed by stamping, includes a steel sheet having a first surface which becomes an outer surface of the can after the stamping; a Ni containing layer arranged on the first surface of the steel sheet; and a Ni&#x2014;W alloy plating layer arranged on the Ni containing layer. The Ni containing layer includes a Fe&#x2014;Ni diffusion alloy layer; a Ni content included in the Ni containing layer is from 5 g/mto 89 g/m; a thickness of the Ni&#x2014;W alloy plating layer is from 0.02 &#x3bc;m to 2 &#x3bc;m; and a W concentration in the Ni&#x2014;W alloy plating layer is from 10% to 65% by mass %.

Ni-containing-surface-treated steel sheet for can and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention provides a composite coated zinc-containing plated steel material different from the plated steel materials treated by conventional chromate replacement technologies and superior in all of corrosion resistance, blackening resistance, coating adhesion, and alkali resistance. The composite coated zinc-containing plated steel material of the present invention is characterized by having a composite coating formed by coating and drying on the surface of a plated steel material a treatment solution containing a basic zirconium compound, vanadyl (VO)-containing compound, phosphoric acid compound, cobalt compound, organic acid, and water and having a pH 7 to 14, the composite coating containing, with respect to the Zr element as 100 parts by mass, V in an amount of 10 to 45 parts by mass, P in 5 to 100 parts by mass, Co in 0.1 to 20 parts by mass, and an organic acid in 10 to 90 parts by mass.

Surface-treated metal material and producing method thereof

A surface treated steel sheet has a surface treatment film including a metallic compound containing titanium, a metallic compound containing magnesium, a cationic urethane resin having at least one cationic functional group selected from primary to tertiary amino groups and quaternary ammonium bases, and a cationic phenol polycondensate which is a polycondensate of a phenol compound with an aldehyde and has a cationic functional group, wherein the titanium content in the surface treatment film is in the range of 1 mass % to 4 mass % based on a total solid content; the magnesium content in the surface treatment film is in the range of 0.2 mass % to 2 mass % based on a total solid content; the cationic urethane resin content in the surface treatment film is in the range of 20 mass % to 35 mass % based on a total solid content; the cationic phenol polycondensate content in the surface treatment film is in the range of 25 mass % to 40 mass % based on a total solid content; and the mass ratio of the cationic urethane resin to the cationic phenol polycondensate is in the range of 33.3:66.7 to 49:51.

Surface treated steel sheet

The present invention aims at provision of an organic composite galvanized steel sheet having its characteristics such as corrosion resistance and workability improved. Thus, the present invention provides an organic composite galvanized steel sheet that is formed by sequentially depositing on a surface of a steel sheet a galvanization layer, a zinc phosphate layer containing Mg, and an organic layer, and is characterized in that a value of Mg/P (weight ratio) in the zinc phosphate layer is 0.15 or larger and an amount of Mg contained in the zinc phosphate layer is 20 mg/m or more. Preferably, the zinc phosphate layer contains one or two or more of Ni, Mn, Co, Fe, Cu, Al, and Ca. In one preferred embodiment, the organic layer is formed as a composite layer containing an organic resin and one or two kinds or more of powder or colloid selected from SiO , Al O , MgO, Fe O , Fe O , ZrO , TiO , and SnO .
