A multiplex communication system having a data repeater, which can prevent data from being lost so as to improve reliability of data communication, when a data repeater of a multiplex communication system repeats data. A multiplex communication system is made up of a plurality of communication groups including a plurality of communication lines and a data repeater. The data repeater is made up of receiving buffers, sending buffers, a data controller and a transfer-address table. The data controller selects multiplex communication lines through which the received data is to be repeated and transfers the received data thereto. The data controller has a priority-reset means for increasing a priority of a received data before being sent. The priority-reset means prioritizes a sending of the data from the data repeater, even if the data sent from the data repeater collides with the other data on the multiplex communication lines through which the received data is to be repeated. In this way, the priority-reset means prevents the data waiting for being sent in the data repeater from being lost by being overwritten with newly received data.

Data repeater and multiplex communication system using the same

A mounting structure for mounting accessories on a designed interior member in a vehicle compartment includes a plurality of mounting portions. Each of the mounting portions includes a non-contact type power sending terminal and a vehicle-side antenna. The mounting portion transmits power from the battery of the vehicle via the non-contact type power sending terminal, and further transmits a multiplex signal that includes all the control signals required for controlling a plurality of accessories via the vehicle-side antenna. A user can mount an accessory arbitrarily selected from the plurality of accessories on any of the mounting portions without newly installing the required wiring, and therefore readily replace the accessories mounted on the mounting portions.

Mounting structure including communication system for transmitting multiplex control signal to vehicle electrical devices

A controller drives a key interlock solenoid to lock a key so that the key cannot be pulled out of a key cylinder when a shift lever is not at a parking position or while an identification code is being sent to a transponder mounted in the key. Thus, the key cannot be pulled out of the key cylinder during the writing of the identification code in the transponder.

An intrusion detecting apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a doppler shift signal outputting unit for outputting a doppler shift signal in response to a reflected and received ultrasonic signal from an ultrasonic receiver and a transmitted ultrasonic signal from a transmitter, an envelope detecting circuit for detecting the level of the received ultrasonic signal, and a detecting means for detecting an illegal intrusion by a person only when it is determined that the doppler shift signal is within a predetermined amount corresponding to the movement of a person intruding into the passenger compartment and it is also determined that the detected level of the received ultrasonic signal is out of a range of a disturbance, whereby an erroneous detection due to a disturbance caused by some reason other than an intrusion can be prevented.

Intrusion detecting apparatus for a vehicle

An intrusion detecting apparatus for a vehicle comprising an ultrasonic transmitting/receiving sensor, an intrusion detecting unit for detecting whether or not a person intrudes into a passenger compartment, based on the received signal, a stopping unit for intermittently stopping the transmission from the transmitter, and a cover detecting unit for detecting whether or not the sensor is covered, based on the signal received after stopping the transmission of the signal and, in response to a predetermined condition representing that the sensor is covered, whereby it can correctly determine whether or not the sensor is covered, improving the accuracy of the detection of an illegal intrusion of a person. At least one of a transmitter and a receiver in the sensor and the intrusion detecting unit is also intermittently operated to reduce the power consumption.

Pickup coils which generate vehicle wheel speed signals which include vibration frequency components of tires during vehicle cruising are provided. An electronic control unit extracts resonance frequencies of tires from the vehicle wheel speed signals and estimates tire pneumatic pressure based on the extracted resonance frequencies. When an estimated vehicle wheel pneumatic pressure falls below a predetermined critical pneumatic pressure, pneumatic pressure decline warnings are generated and displayed by a display unit. An update switch is provided and when this update switch is turned on when replacing tires, the electronic control unit adjusts and sets the value of the critical pneumatic pressure described above based on the resonance frequency extracted during this time.

Tire pneumatic pressure detector

Tire vibration frequency components of left-hand and right-hand tires are derived from wheel speed signals while a vehicle is traveling. A noise frequency component is detected based on a correlation between the vibration frequency components of the left-hand and right-hand tires, and the noise frequency component is reduced relative to the vibration frequency component. Thereafter, resonance frequencies of each tire are detected using the vibration frequency component from which the noise frequency component is reduced, and tire air pressures are detected on the basis of the resonance frequencies.

A variable capacity type swash plate compressor has a shaft, a swash plate, pistons functionally connected with the swash plate, and a detector for detecting the reciprocating stroke of the piston. The reciprocating stroke of the piston is varied in accordance with an inclining angle of the swash plate in such a manner that a top dead point of the piston at a working chamber defined at one end of the piston is substantially constant. The detector detects the change of the width of the reciprocating stroke of the piston and calculating the capacity of the compressor. The detector employs a plurality of magnets provided on a center portion of the piston and an electromagnetic sensor provided on a cylinder block for facing to the magnets.

Variable capacity type swash plate compressor

An acceleration sensor for detecting an acceleration in a plane, and having a housing, and a disk magnet arranged in a magnetic fludi stored in the housing. The movement of disk magnet is limited, i.e., a translational movement or rotational movement thereof can occur only in the plane, by projections formed in the housing, between which projections portions of the magnetic fluid having an increased density are formed adjacent to the poles of the disk magnet so that only a translational movement is allowed, or by small circumferential walls between the housing and the disk magnet and radial projections formed between end walls of the housing and disk magnet so that only a rotational movement is allowed. A Hall element issues a signal corresponding to a position of the disk magnet, to thereby determine the acceleration rate.

Two-dimensional acceleration sensor

An acceleration sensor including a magnetic fluid, a permanent magnet emplaced movably in the magnetic fluid, a nonmagnetic case, in which case the magnetic fluid and the permanent magnet are sealed and from which case air is substantially excluded, the shape of internal receptacle of the case dominating the shape of the magnetic fluid, whereby the path of the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet is restricted and the permanent magnet in the magnetic fluid is given an automatic positioning function, a unit for detecting the position of the permanent magnet, and a processing circuit for processing signals from the detection unit.

Acceleration sensor

A rotary drive apparatus includes: a bar yoke, a coil mounted on the bar yoke, and a cylindrical case, having a magnetic property for receiving the coil and the bar yoke therein. The cylindrical case has at least one salient-pole portion formed on the inside thereof in the vicinity of a portion where the coil is received. The rotary drive apparatus also includes a rotary member facing the salient-pole portion and spaced from the bar yoke and the salient-pole portion by a predetermined gap, so that the rotary member rotates between the bar yoke and the salient-pole portion, and is provided with at least one magnet having opposite magnetic polarities and arranged along the circumference of the rotary member and facing the salient-pole portion. The salient-pole portion, the magnet, and an end-of-the-yoke member form a magnetic circuit. The rotary member is rotated in response to magnetic flux generated at the end of the bar yoke by applying an electric current to the coil.

Electric rotary drive apparatus operable in a magnetic cylinder

A motor speed controlling device comprises a rotating shaft connected to an axle and having rotation speed (set speed) varying with the passage of time, a motor with an output shaft connected to a pointer of a speedometer by means of an eddy-current coupling, rotation detectors generating pulse signals respectively proportional to the rotation speed in the rotating shaft and the output shaft and having the same frequency and the same pulse width at the same rotation speed, a logical operation circuit for discriminating the binary state of both pulse signals, and an integrating circuit which increases driving signal to the motor at a definite gradient when one pulse signal is in the 1 state and the other pulse signal is in the 0 state and decreases the driving signal at a definite gradient when one pulse signal is in the 0 state and other pulse signal is in the 1 state and holds the driving signal to the constant value when both pulse signals are at the same level. The rotation speed of the motor accurately follows the set speed according to the driving signal varying as above described and the speedometer pointer connected through the eddy-current coupling to the motor indicates the vehicle speed.

Motor speed controlling device

An electromagnetic position control apparatus including a rotary sphere having a permanent magnet. The rotary sphere is rotably supported within a spherical hole formed at a crossing portion of a cross-shaped yoke. Coils are used to create magnetic fields at the rotary sphere. The position of rotation of the rotary sphere is controlled in three dimensions by means of changing the intensity of the direct current supplied to the coils or the duty cycle of the pulse current supplied to the coils to change the intensity of the magnetic fields.

Multi-directional drive type electromagnetic position control apparatus

A solenoid valve for opening and closing a fluid passage is disclosed. It includes a valve member supported rotatably within a case and having alternately different magnetic poles formed on the outer periphery of one end thereof and also having a fluid passage formed in the other end thereof; an electromagnetic drive means for creating alternately different and invertible magnetic poles in an opposed relation to the magnetic poles of the valve member to rotate the valve member by a predetermined angle; and plural fluid passages formed within the case and adapted to be brought into communication with each other through the fluid passage of the valve member upon rotation of the valve member at said predetermined angle.

Solenoid valve

A rotary drive apparatus including a frame having at least three holes; a yoke having a center portion and two side bar portions on opposite sides of the center portion, the center portion having a hole, coils mounted on the side bar portions of the yoke, a collar having a bore and being tightly mounted on the surface of the hole of the yoke, magnetic parameter changing elements being mounted on the surface of the bore of the collar, and a rotor having magnetic poles in the radial direction and being inserted into the bore of the collar with a predetermined clearance. In the apparatus, a first hole of the frame is parallel to a first direction of the apparatus and has a cross-section for tightly receiving the center portion of the yoke, and a second and third holes of the frame are in a second direction perpendicularly intersecting the first direction and being concentric with each other oppositely the first hole, the center portion of the yoke being fit into the first hole. The position of the collar is adjusted through the second hole during the adjustment, and the third hole passes a shaft connected to one end of the rotor.
