A mounting structure for a fuel shutoff valve unit (U) includes a valve device () which is provided in a fuel tank () of a saddle type vehicle () and in which a breather passage (Y) which discharges volatile fuel to the outside is formed and a valve () which prevents leakage of liquid fuel is provided, wherein, in the saddle type vehicle including a filler tube (F) which is provided inside the fuel tank () and supplies fuel supplied from the outside to the inside of the fuel tank (), a support member (B) which is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the filler tube (F) and supports the fuel shutoff valve unit (U) inside the fuel tank () is provided.

The present invention provides an attachment structure of a fuel cut-off unit (U) that is provided in a fuel tank () of a saddle-type vehicle (), includes a breather passage () for discharging volatile fuel to the outside, and includes a valve device () for cutting off outflow of liquid fuel. The fuel cut-off unit (U) includes an accommodation container () constituted of a fitting portion (U) which is inserted into the fuel tank () at the time of attachment to the fuel tank () and a unit exterior portion (U) which is positioned outside the fuel tank (). A first locking portion () for performing positioning at the time of attachment to the fuel tank () is formed in the fitting portion (U). A penetration hole (C) penetrating from the inside to the outside such that the fitting portion (U) is inserted therethrough is formed in the fuel tank (). A second locking portion (F) for fixing the fuel cut-off unit (U) by causing the first locking portion () to be engaged from an inner side of the fuel tank is provided in a circumferential edge portion of the penetration hole (C).

Fuel cut-off unit attachment structure

To enable the effective supply of fuel in a low remaining fuel condition, even in a saddle-ride vehicle with a requirement for an increased fuel tank capacity being provided within a limited amount of space. The saddle-ride vehicle includes an engine having a cylinder disposed on a crankcase; an intake system component disposed at the rear of the cylinder for sucking air into the engine; and a fuel tank disposed above the engine for storing fuel. The saddle-ride type vehicle includes a fuel suction port in a side bottom plate portion of the fuel tank for feeding fuel to the intake system component. The saddle-ride vehicle has a sub-chamber having a wall that surrounds the fuel suction port and the sub-chamber includes a fuel flow opening toward the vehicle rear.

An evaporated fuel treatment device is provided to treat evaporated fuel by using a fuel supply cap with a small size while the flowout of fuel can also be suitably prevented. The evaporated fuel treatment device includes a positive pressure adjusting valve which opens when an inner pressure of a fuel tank becomes a predetermined pressure or more, and a spherical rollover valve which closes the positive pressure adjusting valve when the fuel tank is inclined at an angle equal to or larger than a predetermined angle. The positive pressure adjusting valve and the spherical rollover valve are mounted on one cylindrical portion formed on a fuel supply cap.

Evaporated fuel treatment device for vehicle

A fuel cap includes a communication chamber configured to make a charge path and the inside of the fuel tank communicate with each other while in a closed state. The communication chamber includes: a positive pressure control valve configured to open, and send evaporated fuel, which occurs inside the fuel tank, to an evaporated fuel reservoir via the communication chamber and the charge path when the internal pressure of the fuel tank becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined pressure; and a negative pressure control valve configured to open, and send air from the evaporated fuel reservoir to the fuel tank via the communication chamber and the charge path when the internal pressure of the fuel tank becomes equal to or less than the predetermined pressure. In addition, a key cylinder sets the negative pressure control valve open upon inserting a key into the key cylinder.

An evaporated fuel treatment device for a vehicle is provided to suppress the flowout of evaporated fuel into atmospheric air. In the evaporated fuel treatment device, a communication chamber is formed in a fuel supply cap, allowing communication between a charge passage and the inside of a fuel tank in a closed state. In the communication chamber, a positive pressure adjusting valve is openable to supply evaporated fuel in the fuel tank to an evaporated fuel storage unit through the communication chamber and the charge passage, and a negative pressure adjusting valve is openable to supply atmospheric air to the fuel tank from the evaporated fuel storage unit through the communication chamber and the charge passage. An interlocking member is provided between the key cover and the negative pressure adjusting valve, and opens the negative pressure adjusting valve in an interlocking manner with an operation of opening the key cover.

A parking brake lever which provides ease of recognition of a locked state of the parking brake lever and improves the arrangement of the parking brake lever around a handle bar. A parking brake lever includes a handle rear arm portion provided adjacent to a left handle bar rearward thereof in an unlocked position in which a parking brake caliper is in an unlocked state, and a handle upper arm portion provided adjacent to the left handle bar upward thereof in the unlocked position in which the parking brake caliper is in the unlocked state. A rotating shaft of the parking brake lever is provided in the handle rear arm portion that is substantially parallel to the direction of the axis of the left handle bar, so that the parking brake caliper can be operated into the locked state by pulling the parking brake lever upward.

A parking brake lever apparatus for a vehicle includes a first latchet member and a second latchet member arranged along the direction of an axis of a rotating shaft of a holder member which rotatably supports a parking brake lever. The first latchet member and the second latchet member are arranged so that respective teeth thereof come into contact with each other at end surfaces facing in the direction of the axis of the rotating shaft when the parking brake lever is in an unlocked position. The first latchet member is moved toward the second latchet member by springs so that the respective teeth of the first latchet member and the second latchet member are engaged with each other when the parking brake lever is in a locked position.

A lock device capable of locking, in a closed state, a lid member for each of side trunks provided on both sides of the vehicle body rear portion of a motorcycle. The lock device includes a plurality of catch mechanisms with catches that are swingably supported by a trunk main portion via a plurality of associated pivots, respectively. A storage box structure includes a pair of left and right seat cowls for covering sides of a vehicle body frame under a seat. Storage boxes are formed by the seat cowls so as to protrude outwardly in the direction of the vehicle width and provided with openable and closable lids on the outsides of a vehicle. The storage boxes include a projection projecting toward the center of the vehicle body. The projection includes an opening which is in communication with the interior of the storage box and is fitted at least to the projection of the other storage box. The opening brings the interiors of the left and right storage boxes into communication with each other. The storage box structure so configured achieves a reduction of the number of components, improvement of rigidity, and improvement of mounting accuracy.

In a motorcycle in which a rear wheel is suspended by a rear-wheel suspending part provided of a body frame, a fuel tank is attached in an upper portion of the body frame, an engine is attached in a lower portion of the body frame, a fuel injection valve is provided on the intake side of the engine, and fuel in the fuel tank is supplied to the fuel injection valve by a fuel pump, the fuel pump is attached to the body frame near the rear wheel suspending part. The degree of freedom of layout of the fuel pump can be increased and the fuel pump can be disposed in a position far from the engine, so that thermal effects of the engine onto the fuel pump can be suppressed.

A leaf spring includes a plate having a hole into which a key cylinder is inserted, a notch into which a convex portion of the key cylinder is inserted, and spring tabs which can be bent elastically in the insertion direction of the key cylinder formed thereon. The top end of the spring tabs is inclined with respect to the bottom of the rectangular groove before bending, so that the top end is partially brought into contact with the back wall edge after bending. The key cylinder can be attached simply by inserting the key cylinder into the hole of an attachment unit. Freedom of the assembly order is therefore increased. Furthermore, the vibration of the key cylinder in the insertion direction of the key cylinder is reduced.

A fuel tank assembly for a motorcycle and a method for assembly thereof, in which a fuel pump can reliably suck in fuel when a fuel level fluctuates in response to acceleration, deceleration or changing posture of the motorcycle, and when there is little fuel in the tank. The invention provides a cup disposed on the bottom of the fuel tank which may house a fuel pump and a fuel suction filter. Because the fuel suction filter is mounted within the cup, it is not necessary to pass the filter through a hole in the bottom of the tank during assembly. This allows the use of a large filter without forming a large hole in the tank, and further increases the fuel capacity of the tank. A peripheral edge of the tank opening hinders the flow of fuel from the cup to the tank during changes in motorcycle posture, which maintains the fuel suction filter's submergence in fuel.

A swing arm in supported with a simple structure by reducing the number of parts and the length of welding. Handling of the swing arm is made easier in a frame structure for a motorcycle or the like wherein the swing arm is pivotably supported at its front end to a rear portion of a body frame. A single main pipe is a component of a body frame composed of a rearwardly extending portion 16a located over an engine and extending rearwardly from a head pipe. A bent portion extends from a rear end of the rearwardly extending portion. A downwardly extending portion extends downwardly from the bent portion. A pair of cross pipes extend laterally and are vertically spaced from each other and are connected at their intermediate portions to the downwardly extending portion. A pair of supporting plates is located on the left and right sides of the downwardly extending portion and are connected to both ends of each of the cross pipes. A swing arm is pivotably supported at its front end to a pivot shaft located between the cross pipes and extends between the supporting plates.
