A tripod-type constant velocity joint includes an intermediate member, and first and second tripod members connected to the respective ends of the intermediate member. The intermediate member includes first and second outer rings. The first tripod member is formed with three protrusions, and the second tripod member is formed with three protrusions. The first outer ring is formed in its inner periphery with three axially extending first track grooves which are open at its axial end surface. The second outer ring is formed in its inner periphery with three axially extending second track grooves which are open at its axial end surface. The protrusions of the first tripod member are axially slidably received in the respective first track grooves. The protrusions of the second tripod member are axially slidably received in the respective second track grooves.

A radial sliding bearing provided with a sliding bearing (), an inner ring (), and an outer ring (), the inner ring () is made of melt-cast metal and the outer ring () being constituted by an article molded from a resin composition, the inner ring () comprising a concavely curved surface () on part of the axial direction of the outer circumference and a bearing hole () for mating with a support shaft on the inner circumference, the outer ring () having a convexly curved surface () that contacts and slides against the concavely curved surface () on the outer circumference of the inner ring () along part of the axial direction of the inner circumference, and the inner ring () and the outer ring () relatively rotating without contacting each other apart from the contact between the convexly curved surface and the concavely curved surface.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a sliding bearing which has a simple construction and thus can be produced easily and at a low cost and yet eliminates the need for the use of a heat insulation sleeve and the like and is capable of maintaining a frictional torque to a low extent. A sliding bearing () has an inner ring (), an outer ring (), and a sliding contact member () interposed therebetween. The inner ring () has a curved surface () formed along an outer circumference thereof and a shaft-receiving hole which fits on a supporting shaft along an inner circumference thereof. The sliding contact member () is a molded body, made of resin composition, which has a curved surface () making sliding contact with the curved outer circumferential surface () of the inner ring () with the curved surface () being opposed to the curved outer circumferential surface (). The outer ring () does not contact the inner ring () and holds the sliding contact member () on an inner circumferential side thereof with the outer ring () covering the sliding contact member (). The outer ring () has an open portion () formed on an axial one end surface thereof and a pawl portion () formed at an edge of the open portion (). The sliding contact member () is combined with the outer ring () by inserting the sliding contact member () into the outer ring () from the open portion () thereof and fixed by the pawl portion ().
