A shut-off valve mounting structure is for holding shut-off valves in place in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, and includes bases, and a fixing portion. The shut-off valves are connected to an indoor unit of the air conditioner via refrigerant communication pipes. The bases extend upwards from a bottom frame of the outdoor unit (2). The fixing portion is continuous with the bases, and holds the shut-off valves in place such that a space exists below the shut-off valves.

An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided in which a wind whistling sound and a vibration noise due to airflow are reduced. The outdoor unit includes an outdoor heat exchanger, a fan, a motor for driving the fan, and a motor support table for supporting the motor. The fan moves air on the outdoor heat exchanger to promote heat exchange between refrigerant and air. The motor support table () is provided with a rectifying member, and the rectifying member deflects air flowing toward the motor support table in a predetermined direction.

Outdoor unit of air conditioner

In a main circuit (,) of refrigerant circuitry (,), a liquid-side shutoff valve (,) is provided between a liquid receiver (,) and an indoor heat exchanger (,). Downstream of the liquid-side shutoff valve (,), a refrigerant charging section (,A) including a refrigerant charge valve (,) connectable with a refrigerant cylinder (,) is provided. The refrigerant circuitry (,) includes a pressure relieving circuit (SVP) for conducting refrigerant in a high-pressure-side line of the refrigerant circuitry (,) to a low-pressure-side line thereof in additional refrigerant charging operation executed by operating compressors (,) with the liquid-side shutoff valve (,) closed. The refrigerant circuitry (,) further includes an injection circuit (SVT) for lowering the temperature of refrigerant discharged from the compressors (,) by supplying low-temperature refrigerant flowing downstream of an outdoor electronic expansion valve (,) to the compressors (,) when the superheating degree of the discharged refrigerant is larger than a first predetermined temperature.
