Coupling body devices, including methods of making the same, are provided and described. A method of manufacturing a coupling body, for example, can include forming a tube by braiding nonmetal fibers, forming a flange by rolling inwards an end of the tube, providing a metallic connector, inserting at least one Z-pin in an end portion of the connector, and coupling the tube and the connector by inserting the Z-pin in the flange and performing a composite material forming process.

Provided are a method of manufacturing a Z-pin having an unevenness shape formed on a surface thereof so as to economically and effectively increase coupling force in the Z-pin for coupling of a composite material laminated structure in a laminated direction, and a Z-pin manufactured using the same and a composite structure including the Z-pin.

A composite laminated structure is reinforced by inserting pins into a device for manufacturing a composite laminated structure. The device has a bottom guide on a composite laminated structure in a pre- or post-cured state. The device has first vertical pins that are inserted into the composite laminated structure. A top guide, on the bottom guide, has guide pins that are movable in a vertical direction at positions corresponding to the first pins.
