A screed assembly includes a screed assembly frame and a screed plate removably connected to the screed assembly frame to define a space between the screed assembly frame and the screed plate. A heating element and a hold down device for securing the heating element can be provided in the space between the screed assembly frame and the screed plate. The heating element is configured to be removed from the space by sliding the heating element out of the space and disengaging the heating element from the hold down device without removing the screed plate from the screed assembly frame.

Lower screed interfaces

A paving machine including an adjustable screed assembly is provided. Actuators adjust the screed assembly into the plurality of different configurations. Sensors sense a respective configuration parameter indicative of the configuration of the screed assembly. A controller is configured to save a first set of parameters including the configuration parameters and save a second set of parameters including the configuration parameters in response. The controller is configured to recall one of the first set or second set of parameters, and adjust automatically the configuration of the screed assembly to correspond to the configuration parameters included in the recalled first set or second set of parameters.

A machine having a light control system is provided. The light control system includes a hazard light associated with the machine, a plurality of control locations provided on the machine, and a light control module provided at each of the plurality of control locations and communicably coupled to the hazard light. The light control module configured to receive an input signal from each of the plurality of control locations. The light control module is further configured to prioritize the input signal based on a time stamp associated with the input signal. The light control module is further configured to control an operation of the hazard light based, at least in part, on the prioritized input signal.

Light control system

A control system for an extendable screed includes a first input device configured to set a speed limit for the extendable screed, a second input device configured to vary a speed of the extendable screed within the speed limit. The controller further includes, a third input device configured to govern a relationship between a speed of the extendable screed and a relative position of the second input device. The control system further includes a controller configured to receive inputs from the first, the second, and the third input devices and output a command signal to move the extendable screed relative to the main screed.

Screed extender speed control

A screed system is provided. The screed system includes a base screed. The screed system includes an extension member, wherein the extension member is detachably coupled to the base screed. The screed system also includes an identification module associated with the extension member. The identification module is configured to provide an indication of the extension member. The screed system further includes a controller, wherein the controller is configured to determine a parameter associated with the extension member based on the indication. Further, the identification module and the controller are configured to communicate with each other.
