A heat exchanger includes ribs mounted transversely of the axis of the tube and uniformly spaced therealong. Each rib includes a plate with corrugations oriented along the flow of the fluid washing the tube. The ribs adjoin one another, their corrugations having lateral slits, the wall portions between these slits being offset relative to one another to provide passages for the flow of the fluid. Owing to this structure the thickness of the boundary layer at each one of said portions is reduced, and the effectiveness of heat exchange is stepped up. Furthermore, a heat exchanger with the disclosed ribs is considerably more compact and needs less metal for its construction, as compared with known heat exchangers.

Tubular heat exchanger

A suction valve, preferably with a plate closing member, is made without any mechanical spring members and comprises a plate travel damper in the form of freely movable valve plate arranged on one or both sides of a pressure accumulating chambers having metering orifices through which flows gas under a mean pressure towards the closing orifice, a gas cushion is created to damp the travel of the plate.

Suction valve of the piston compressor

A multiple-stage centrifugal compressor without a horizontal joint wherein the stator consists of a package of interconnected diaphragms with cylindrical holes for the installation of the labyrinth seal holders. The cylindrical holes vary in diameter along the longitudinal axis of the compressor, said diameter increasing in steps towards end of the diaphragm package.
