A floating ball valve comprising: a housing having an internal cavity and first and second fluid flow ports through which fluid flows selectively in either direction from the first to the second or the second to the first fluid flow ports when the valve is open; a floating ball housed in the cavity and formed having a through hole for passage of fluid the ball being rotatable to open the valve and allow fluid flow through the fluid flow ports and internal cavity and to close the valve and block fluid flow through the fluid flow ports and cavity; and a pressure relief valve (PRV) having a cracking pressure mounted to the floating ball so that the PRV communicates with the through hole, and when the floating ball valve is closed the PRV faces and communicates with the first fluid flow port; wherein the PRV is normally closed whether the floating ball valve is open or closed, and when the floating ball valve is closed, if pressure in the internal cavity exceeds the cracking pressure of the PRV, the PRV opens to relieve the pressure.

Bi-flow cryogenic firesafe floating ball valve

A Scotch yoke actuator includes a housing formed with four piston bores spaced equally 90&#xb0; from each other, a shaft with four yokes, each of the yokes having a slot, and four pistons including two pairs of 180&#xb0; opposing pistons, one pair of the opposing pistons being orthogonal to the other pair of the opposing pistons. Each of the pistons is arranged for linear motion in one of the piston bores. Each of the pistons includes a piston rod which includes a piston pin which is slidable in the slot. Linear motion of the pistons in the piston bores causes rotation of the shaft.

A top-entry trunnion ball valve comprising: a housing formed having first and second fluid flow ports, a cavity through which fluid flows when the valve is open and a top opening through which the cavity is accessible; a ball housed in the cavity formed having a through hole for passage of fluid and rotatable between open and closed positions; a cartridge in the cavity sealed to the housing and comprising a seat sealed to the ball; wherein the cartridge and top opening are sized to enable the cartridge to be inserted into and sealed to the housing and removed from the cavity via the top opening.

EZE-Top ball valve

A firesafe bidirectional floating ball valve comprising: a housing; first and second annular seats that hold between them a ball that is rotatable to open and close the valve to fluid flow; an annular spring on one side of the ball that operates to seal both of the seats to the ball; and an annular ridge coaxial with the first seat; wherein with the valve closed, net pressure on the ball in a direction from the second fluid flow port to the first fluid flow port operates to displace the ball and apply force to the first annular seat that closes a narrow clearance space between the ball and the first annular seat.
