This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for lens design for full-duplex communication. In some aspects, a device may use a lens design that enables full-duplex operation through a lens by facilitating an avoidance or mitigation of self-interference during full-duplex operation. The lens may have a first, antenna-facing surface and a second, outward-facing surface and, to avoid or mitigate self-interference due to reflection off the lens, the first surface may have a first curvature associated with a relatively small radius. In such examples, the device may transmit wireless signaling from a transmitting element and a reflection off the lens may be dispersed or otherwise oriented away from a receiving element in accordance with a design of the first curvature. In some implementations, the lens may include an anti-reflective coating to further reduce reflection off the lens.

Method and apparatus for channel oriented modulation selection for improved spectral efficiency. The apparatus receives an activation indication indicating an activation of a modulation selection procedure and a set of REs used for the modulation selection procedure. The activation indication indicating a first modulation for a first subset of REs within the set of REs and a second modulation for a second subset of REs within the set of REs, the first subset of REs having a higher quality than the second subset of REs. The apparatus receives downlink communication based on the modulation selection procedure.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration indicating an intra-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may receive, from the network entity, an indication of an inter-slot DMRS pattern. The UE may communicate, with the network entity, a message that is associated with a time domain resource allocation that includes multiple slots, the message including one or more DMRSs in accordance with the intra-slot DMRS pattern and the inter-slot DMRS pattern. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communications device may transmit a first signal. The first signal may be transmitted from a first antenna array of the communications device through a lens of the communications device in a direction. An energy of a portion of the first signal may be below a threshold based on a position of a second antenna array of the communications device. The portion of the first signal may correspond to a portion of a reflection of the first signal that overlaps with the position of the second antenna array. The communications device may concurrently receive, at the second antenna array, a second signal originating from another direction, where the second signal may be focused in the direction of the second antenna array based on the lens.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a receiving device may receive a communication that includes at least one pilot symbol, the at least one pilot symbol including pilot signaling on a first set of one or more subcarriers and peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) signaling on a second set of one or more subcarriers. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, the described techniques support resource offset mapping for multiplexing. Resource offset mapping may refer to the mapping of frequency-domain symbols to different subsets of resources that are offset from each other or separated by gaps. For instance, a first wireless device may map a first set of frequency-domain symbols to a first subset of subcarriers and a second set of frequency-domain symbols to a second subset of subcarriers. A lowest subcarrier of the second subset of subcarriers may be separated by an offset or a gap from a highest subcarrier of the first subset of subcarriers. As a result, at least some distortion experienced on subcarriers in the gap may not spread to other subcarriers, and the reliability and throughput of communications between the first wireless device and a second wireless device may improve.

Resource offset mapping for multiplexing

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Various aspects relate generally to labeling of modulation constellations. Some aspects more specifically relate to signaling to support selection of labeling configurations of modulation constellations. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) transmits capability information indicating one or more capabilities relating to selection of a labeling configuration that indicates labels for symbols of a modulation constellation. A network node may transmit an indication of a labeling configuration in accordance with the capability information. The labeling configuration, in some examples, may include a Gray labeling configuration that is configured to improve polar coding performance.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a relay may receive, from a network node and via a network node beam, a network node synchronization signal block (SSB). The relay may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) and via a relay beam, a relay SSB that is based at least in part on the network node SSB. The relay may receive, from the UE and via the relay beam, a preamble during a first random access channel (RACH) occasion that is associated with the relay SSB. A wireless communication device, such as a network entity or a user equipment (UE), may transmit a message to another wireless communication device, such as a network entity, including a connection establishment request and an indication of a capability of the wireless communication device to support a value of a power efficiency threshold. The other wireless communication device may respond with signaling indicating for the wireless communication device to use a value of a power efficiency for communications between the wireless communication devices. The indication may include one or more parameters indicating the value of the power efficiency. The wireless communication devices may establish a connection in accordance with the value of the power efficiency.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive reference signals for a UE beam measurement procedure for measuring a set of network transmit beams corresponding to the set of reference signals. The UE may transmit a measurement report indicating measurements of the set of reference signals based on the UE beam measurement procedure, where the measurement report further includes an indication of one or more candidate network transmit beams that are additional to the set of network transmit beams and that are within an angular offset threshold from one or more network transmit beams of the set of network transmit beams. In response to transmitting the measurement report, the UE may receive a message indicating a configuration for communications with the network entity.

An example method performed by a UE includes processing one or more synchronization signals in a first slot according to a first configuration of slot parameters, wherein the synchronization signals are used for at least one of time or frequency tracking, receiving, from a network entity, a second configuration of slot parameters, and processing a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a second slot according to the second configuration of slot parameters, wherein the second slot occurs within a configured slot duration that is offset in time from the first slot.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a first indication of a first set of random access occasions associated with a synchronization signal block that corresponds with a first receive beam of a base station. The UE may receive a second indication of a second set of random access occasions that are each associated with a respective receive beam of a set of receive beams of the base station. Each receive beam of the set of receive beams may spatially overlap a portion of the first receive beam. The UE may transmit the random access message using a selected random access occasion of the second set of random access occasions.

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for dedicated pilot signals associated with radio frequency impairment compensation. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may support a signaling mechanism according to which the UE may measure and report, to the network entity, an imbalance between an in-phase (I) component and a quadrature (Q) component of a modulated signal. For example, the UE may request the network entity to transmit an out-of-band pilot signal to enable frequency domain residual side band (FDRSB) estimation at the UE and the UE may transmit measurement information associated with the IQ imbalance or the FDRSB estimation to the network entity. The network entity may receive the measurement information and compensate or correct signaling in accordance with the received measurement information.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) monitoring a set of time resources for a set of code blocks and receiving, from a network entity, a code block of the set of code blocks via an optical beam. Further, the method may include the UE modulating the optical beam based on receiving the code block and sending, to the network entity, the modulated optical beam including feedback associated with at least one code block of the set of code blocks.
