An inverted F antenna (IFA) which reduces specific absorption rate (SAR) includes a ground; an auxiliary radiator which is attached to one end of the ground and disposed along a plane direction of the ground; a radiator which lies at an interval from the auxiliary radiator in parallel and radiates electromagnetic waves; a feed which supplies current to the radiator; and a short which interconnects the radiator with the ground and discharges the current to the ground. Accordingly, the SAR can be decreased and the antenna size can be miniaturized.

An ultra wideband antenna is provided that filters a predetermined frequency signal. The ultra wideband antenna includes a power feeding part that receives a supply of an external electromagnetic energy; a radiator excited by the electromagnetic energy fed through the power feeding part and radiating an electromagnetic wave; and a stub, provided on the radiator in a direction parallel to a direction of an electric field formed by the electromagnetic wave, that intercepts transmission/reception of a predetermined frequency band signal. The length of the stub may be &#xbc; of a wavelength of the intermediate frequency of the predetermined frequency band to be removed to filter the corresponding frequency band signal. The ultra wideband antenna simplifies the construction of an ultra wideband receiving system with the power loss and noise characteristics of the system improved.

An antenna having an extended operation frequency bandwidth that includes: a feed, and a plurality of radiators which are connected to the feed to receive current and divided at the feed. Accordingly, the RFID radio signals and the mobile communication radio signals can be transmitted and received via the single antenna because the frequency bandwidth is expanded. Therefore, the efficiency of the antenna can be improved and the mobile communication terminal can be miniaturized. Furthermore, since the antenna obtains the increased gain, the communication quality of the antenna can be enhanced and the power consumption can be reduced.

A DC block with a band-notch characteristic using a defected ground structure (DGS), includes a pair of coupled lines for being formed parallel to each other on one surface of a dielectric and blocking a flow of a DC, and at least one DGS for being formed on an area of the rear surface of the dielectric corresponding to each coupled line and comprising an etched region formed by etching a part of a ground surface bonded to the dielectric and a metal region formed in the etched region. Accordingly, the stop band of the desired bandwidth in the desired communications band can be formed and the size of the communications system can be reduced.
