A photothermographic material which contains on one side of a support (a) a catalytically active amount of a photocatalyst, (b) a reducing agent, (c) a reducible silver salt, and (d) a binder, wherein a matting agent having a softening temperature of from 100 to 500&deg; C. is contained at least on one side of the support.

Photothermographic photosensitive material and photothemographic method

A photothermographic material comprising on one surface side of the support at least one kind of photosensitive silver halide, a photo-insensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for a silver ion, and a binder, and having an electroconductive layer, wherein the surface resistivity (under the atmosphere of 25&deg; C., 25% RH) is 10 &OHgr; or less, and the optical density at the exposure wavelength of the surface side containing the photosensitive silver halide is from 0.2 to 3.0.

Provided is a method for producing image using a photothermographic material in which the photothermographic material is exposed with a laser light using an image producing apparatus having a recording section and heat developing section, and then developed by heating, the photothermographic material containing elsewhere at least on one plane of the a support at least one kind of photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ion and a binder; characterized in that the photosensitive silver halide contains an iridium compound, and the image producing apparatus has an exposure corrective control means for correctively controlling exposure output according to a temperature profile of photothermographic material within the apparatus. This method can provide an image with a stable quality while not being affected by environmental conditions during the image production.

Method for producing image using a photothermographic material

A thermally processed image forming material having on one side of a support at least one image recording layer containing at least one kind of non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ion, and a binder; characterized by having at least one non-recordable layer formed by coating and drying a coating liquid containing a dicarboxylic acid and having a pH of 3.5 or above was disclosed. The thermally processed image forming material has an improved property of the coated surface and prevent coating streaks.

Thermally processed image forming material

A photothermographic material for laser exposure excellent in granularity and having no blocking trouble, which comprises a support having provided thereon at least one image formation layer containing at least one silver halide, and at least one non-image recording protective layer provided on the side far away from the support of said image formation layer, wherein said protective layer contains a matte agent composed of an inorganic compound and an organic polymer compound.

Photothermographic material for laser beam exposure

A photothermographic or thermographic material comprising a support having provided thereon or thereabove at least one image forming layer having its thermal expansion coefficient in the range of 1.0 to 1.5 and having provided on or above said at least one image forming layer a layer which has its thermal expansion coefficient of at least 0.9 and lower than 1.0 and comprises at least one kind of polymer latex having a glass transition temperature of not higher than a heat development temperature, said layer which has its thermal expansion coefficient of at least 0.9 and lower than 1.0 being farther from the support than the at least one image forming layer.

Photothermo-or thermo-graphic material

A photothermographic element has on a support a photo-sensitive layer, and a first non-photosensitive layer containing (1) a base-bleachable dye or a salt thereof and (2) a binder. The first non-photosensitive layer or a second non-photosensitive layer disposed adjacent thereto contains (3) a base precursor and (4) a melting point depressant. The dye (1) becomes more bleachable and the processed image becomes more water resistant.

Photothermographic element

A photothermographic element has on a support a photosensitive layer and a non-photosensitive layer containing (1) a base precursor, (2) a base-bleachable dye or a salt thereof, and (3) a binder. A constituent layer on the same side of the support as the non-photosensitive layer contains (4) a water-soluble polymer other than gelatin. The element is improved in coating surface quality and minimized in residual color.

Photothemographic element

A latent image of a medical image is recorded on a heat development photosensitive material. Development is carried out on the photosensitive material, on which the latent image has been recorded, and the medical image having multiple gradation levels is thereby obtained. The development is carried out at a heating temperature falling within the range of 120.+-.10.degree. C., at a width-direction temperature accuracy falling within the range of .+-.3.degree. C., and for a development time falling within the range of 5 seconds to 30 seconds. In the heat development technique, the processing time is thus set to be a practically acceptable short time, noise is reduced, and a medical image having good image quality is obtained.

Image recording method and apparatus capable of efficiently developing

The present invention provides a photothermographic material which can provide an image having a high sharpness, exhibits a good transparency, is less liable to fog and is unsusceptible to discoloration during storage. The present invention also provides a photothermographic material which can provide a less fogged image having a high sharpness without using any mercury compound. A photothermographic material is provided comprising an anti-irradiation pigment incorporated in a photosensitive layer and an anti-irradiation dye incorporated in at least one light-insensitive layer on the same side of a support as the photosensitive layer.

A polyhalomethane compound represented by the following formula and a silver halide photosensitive material containing the same are disclosed. ##STR1## (Q.sub.1 represents a 1,2,4-triazole ring, etc., Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 each represents a halogen atom, Y represents --SO.sub.2 --, etc., and A represents a halogen atom, etc.) The polyhalomethane compound is useful as a highly active antifoggant which enables photosensitive materials, especially of the heat development type, to have excellent raw-stock storage stability and image storage stability when stored in a stacked state, without reducing sensitivity nor impairing color tone.

Polyhalomethane compound and photosensitive material

A photothermographic material comprising a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on one surface of a support is to be exposed to laser light having a wavelength of less than 700 nm. The silver halide of the emulsion layer has a grain size of 0.01-0.1 .mu.m. A suitable dye is contained in the emulsion layer such that the layer may have an absorbance of 0.3-1.2 at the exposure wavelength. An image containing minimized interference fringes is obtainable.

A photothermographic material is provided wherein when it is exposed in an exposure dose of 30 .mu.J/cm.sup.2 and thermally developed at 120.degree. C. for 20 seconds, the resulting spheres of influence have an average radius of 0.01-0.35 .mu.m. The photothermographic material produces images undergoing minimal tone variations.

Photothermographic materials

In a thermographic material comprising an organic acid silver, the organic acid silver having a half-width of up to 21.0' as measured by X-ray diffractometry is used. Then the thermographic material experiences a minimal change of photographic properties during shelf storage.
