A novel liquid toner development system is disclosed. The liquid development system includes conductive core-shell particles comprising silver-copper or copper-silver. A novel apparatus and method relying on the novel liquid toner development system results in electro-conductive patterning capable of high conductivity with low background fogging, reduced processing time and reduced environmental impact.

An over-sampling type clock recovery circuit includes a phase difference determining section and a phase adjusting section. The phase difference determining section determines a phase difference between a data signal and a plurality of clock signals using majority determination, to produce a phase adjustment signal. The phase adjusting section adjusts phases of the plurality of clock signals based on the phase adjustment signal.

Over-sampling type clock recovery circuit using majority determination

A high viscosity, high solid volume liquid ink for use in electrophotographic printing systems. A silicone oil carrier material is combined with toner particles (including pigment, binder polymers and charge control agents) in a ratio of about 45% toner particles to 55% carrier liquid. The resultant ink preferably has a viscosity in the range 30000 to 50000 cs. The high viscosity ink of the present invention is preferably applied to a photoconductor material having a latent charged image thereon and a thin pre-wet material applied thereto. The pre-wet material is preferably a low viscosity silicone oil material. The composite layer of the combined low viscosity pre-wet and high viscosity ink permits the polymerized toner particles to migrate toward the latent charged image on the photoconductor surface. The high viscosity ink of the present invention helps maintain uniform dispersion of the toner particles in the liquid carrier. The high solid volume of the ink enables the transfer of less ink to the imaging components of the printing system and thereby enables higher speed printing of images. The chemical inertness of the silicone oil liquid carrier as compared to other known hydrocarbon based carrier materials causes less damage to the imaging components of the printing system.

Liquid developer for electrophotographic printing apparatus

An over-sampling type clock recovery circuit includes a phase difference detecting section, a phase adjusting section and a signal selecting section. The phase difference detecting section detects a phase difference between a data signal and each of a plurality of active sets of clock signals, and generates a phase adjustment signal from a plurality of phase difference data corresponding to the detected phase differences using a majority determination. The phase adjusting section generates N (N is an integer equal to or larger than 2) sets of clock signals and adjusts phases of clock signals of the N sets based on the phase adjustment signal. The signal selecting section selects a part or all of the N sets of clock signals based on the detected phase differences from the phase difference detecting section. The selected sets of clock signals are supplied to the phase difference detecting section as the plurality of active sets of clock signals.

An over-sampling type clock recovery circuit includes a phase difference detecting section (TIPD, CP, LFP), a phase adjusting section (VCO, VD, FD) and a signal selecting section (LDEC, SW). The phase difference detecting section (TIPD, CP, LFP) detects a phase difference between a data signal and each of a plurality of active sets of clock signals, and generates a phase adjustment signal from a plurality of phase difference data corresponding to the detected phase differences. The phase adjusting section (VCO, VD, FD) generates N (N is an integer equal to or larger than 2) sets of clock signals and adjusts phases of clock signals of the N sets based on the phase adjustment signal. The signal selecting section (LDEC, SW) selects a part or all of the N sets of clock signals based on the detected phase differences from the phase difference detecting section. The selected sets of clock signals are supplied to the phase difference detecting section as the plurality of active sets of clock signals.

A single-layer binder comprising a synthetic resin binder and a phthalocyanine pigment dispersed therein is modified so as to reduce the content of the phthalocyanine pigment while maintaining or further improving the sensitivity of the binder. A coating material comprising a synthetic resin binder comprising as a constituent component a polyester resin containing halogen atoms, e.g., chlorine or bromine, and a phthalocyanine pigment dispersed in the binder is applied to a conductive base to produce an electrophotographic binder.

Electrophotographic photoreceptor

A sensitizing dye and a hydrophilic resin are dissolved in a first solvent, and a second solvent is added to the solution. The second solvent is less volatile than the first solvent, miscible therewith and does not dissolve both of the sensitizing dye and the hydrophilic resin. A powder of the sensitized zinc oxide is incorporated into the solution. After blending, the mixture is dried and pulverized to obtain a powder of sensitized zinc oxide. This powder is then mixed with a bonding agent consisting of a resinous material having an acid value of 5-30 to form a mixture which is formed into a thin photosensitive layer for use in electrophotography.
