There is provided an information processing device including N first clock conversion units (N is an integer) that convert image data as parallel data into image data having a specific clock cycle, a serial conversion unit that converts N pieces of the converted image data into one-system serial data and outputs the converted data, a parallel conversion unit to which the converted image data is input and that converts the data into N pieces of parallel data having a predetermined number of bits, a synchronized data generation unit that generates synchronized data of the image data, and N second clock conversion units that reconvert the N pieces of converted image data to an original clock cycle from the specific clock cycle and set the clock cycle of the converted image data to be in a phase in synchronization with the synchronized data generated by the synchronized data generation unit.

High frequency components of a video signal are attenuated for avoiding aliasing when the video signal is corrected by a non-linear gamma correction circuit. Such high frequency components arise from the video signal harmonics, and also are generated in image contour processing of the video signal. The high frequency components are band limited, thereby linearizing the gamma correction circuit and preventing aliasing. Up-converting the sampling frequency increases a desired band limitation area and defers the generation of high frequency components that cause aliasing. The non-linear gamma correction function is divided into a plurality of sections which are replaced by respective straight-line segments each represented by a linear expression, and gamma correction is effected with a straight-line segment corresponding to the amplitude of the digital video signal.

Anti-aliasing video camera processing apparatus and method

A table which includes entries corresponding to frames in one-to-one relationship is generated. Information of each frame is described in each entry according to a display order. When video data has a frame rate of 24 frames/sec, a dummy entry is inserted for every four frames. A top_field_first flag, a repeat_first_field flag, and a picture type flag are described in each entry. A frame to be displayed is generated based on these flags. The present invention can be applied to an optical disc apparatus.

Video signal processing apparatus and method which generates an aperture correction signal, or detail signal, which has a narrow width even for video signals that have low high frequency components. The processing apparatus generates a standard detail signal from the video signal, detects the maximum amplitude level of plural samples of the detail signal, and modifies the amplitude level of one of those samples as a function of the ratio of the sample's amplitude level to the detected maximum amplitude level. The apparatus further properly modifies the detail signal even when the positive and negative maximum amplitudes of the video signal are substantially different.
