A camera body includes a plurality of body-side bayonet lugs which are provided on the peripheral edge of an opening; and a protrusion which is positioned in a circular-arc opening formed between adjacent body-side bayonet lugs of the body-side bayonet lugs, the distance between the protrusion and either of adjacent two body-side bayonet lugs of the body-side bayonet lugs being shorter than each of the lens-side bayonet lugs; and a body-side mount surface with which the lens-side bayonet surface comes into contact from the front side when the lens-side bayonet lugs are positioned immediately behind the body-side bayonet lugs.

A camera body includes a body-side bayonet lug, wherein a lens-side bayonet lug of a lens barrel is positioned immediately behind the body-side bayonet lug when the lens barrel is mounted to the camera body; an opposed surface formed on the rear surface of the body-side bayonet lug and positioned immediately in front of the lens-side bayonet lug; a body-side mount surface positioned in front of the opposed surface and with which the lens-side bayonet surface comes into contact; and a body-side contact portion, the front end of which contacts the rear end of the lens-side contact portion when the opposed surface faces the lens-side bayonet lug, the front end of the body-side contact portion being positioned in front of the opposed surface and behind the body-side mount surface.

A camera body includes body-side bayonet lugs concentric with lens-side bayonet lugs, circular-arc openings, a circular arc protrusion positioned inside the camera body and projecting forward and concentric with the body-side bayonet lugs, body-side contact portions provided and arranged on the front end surface of the circular arc protrusion and come into contact with lens-side contact portions which are provided on the lens barrel, and rearward biasers provided immediately behind two of the body-side bayonet lugs to bias and move the lens-side bayonet lugs rearward, wherein two of the body-side contact portions located at both ends in the lengthwise direction and the two rearward biasers lie on radial-direction extension lines of the circular arc protrusion, respectively, as viewed in an optical axis direction.

Camera body

There is provided a camera including a camera body having an inner space, a cover mounted to said camera body to open and close said inner space, and an operation member movably mounted to said cover. The operation member is manually operable from outside said camera. The camera further includes at least one switch provided in said camera body, and a motion transmitting mechanism provided between the at least one switch and the operation member. The motion transmitting mechanism is provided to the camera such that it switches a status of the at least one switch in response to an operation of said operation member.

A zoom lens camera having a film feeding mechanism for a self advancing film cartridge, a zoom lens barrel, a motor for driving the lens barrel, a behind-film space provided between the film feeding surface and the back plate of the camera body, and a reduction gear train which transmits the rotation of the motor to the zoom lens barrel; a part of the reduction gear train is positioned in the behind-film space.

A real image finder system of a camera has an objective lens, an eyepiece lens and deflecting system. The deflecting system includes an erecting system positioned between the objective lens and the eyepiece lens. The finder system also includes an LCD panel that is located on an image plane of the objective lens with the LCD panel displaying information which is viewed through the eyepiece lens. A first polarizer is positioned between the objective lens and the LCD panel while a second polarizer is positioned between the LCD panel and the eyepiece lens. The first and second polarizers are arranged such that their transmission axes are perpendicular to each other. Further at least one optical component of the deflecting system is located between the first polarizer and the second polarizer.

Real image finder system for a camera

A seal apparatus for a finder having a liquid crystal display is provided with a liquid crystal body and a pair of polarizing plates. One of the polarizing plates is secured to an entrance opening or emission opening of a finder body to close the finder body.

A lens shutter type of camera with a retractable strobe device has a rectangular camera body with one side longer than the other. A mechanism pops the retractable strobe out from the shorter side of the camera body to an operative position. A mechanism varies an illuminating angle of the retractable strobe device in accordance with a zooming operation of a zoom photographing lens when the strobe device is in the operative position. The popping out mechanism and the illuminating angle varying mechanism are arranged such that the retractable strobe device pops out from the shorter side surface of the camera.

A mechanism for adjusting the diopter setting of a finder assembly which has an objective optical system and an eyepiece optical system, includes an object side image forming position adjusting device which adjusts the position where an image is to be formed by the objective optical system. The mechanism effectively compensates for any change that occurs in the position where an image is formed by the objective optical system due to temperature or humidity variations. Thus, the problem of plastic lenses having their focal lengths extended in a hot and humid environment is solved by the invention.

Device for adjusting the diopter setting of a finder assembly

A photographic format indication system for a camera having at least two selectable photographic formats. The indication system identifies the photographic format of previously exposed frames of film in the camera following an exposure of a frame. The indicated format is maintained after a photographic format is no longer selected. The indicator may be an electronic display or a symbol printed on a firm cartridge.

A view finder includes a finder body which defines an optical path of the view finder and optical elements, including a roof mirror are provided along the optical path. The finder body has an opening for the roof mirror, so that the roof mirror is secured to the opening such that an outer portion of the roof mirror projects out of the finder body through the opening.

A parallax and/or diopter correcting apparatus in a camera having a photographing optical system separate from a finder optical system, including a reflecting mirror provided in the finder optical system to change the direction of the optical axis thereof. A reflecting mirror driving mechanism is provided for rotating the reflecting mirror in a first rotational direction to move the segment of the finder optical system optical axis, located in front of the reflecting mirror, towards the optical axis of the photographing optical system, and/or for rotating the reflecting mirror in a second rotational direction perpendicular to the first rotational direction.

Apparatus for correcting parallax and/or diopter of camera

A pair of light-shielding film cases of similar construction, such as may be used in a surveillance camera, having a simple construction but providing improved film running performance. The light-shielding film cases accommodate a film supplying spool on which a film has been wound and a film winding spool on which the film is taken up. At least one roller is provided in each of the film cases. The film cases each have a cover and a winding knob, the latter also serving as a spool bearing and being mounted on a respective one of the covers.
