A method for estimating an arrangement of electrodes obtains detection signals when an initial electrode array having a sufficient number of electrodes for detection of excitation wave arranged and arrayed in a plane is attached to biological tissue. The method uses a plurality of input data based on detection signals obtained in a plurality of second electrode arrays generated by eliminating a predetermined number of electrodes at random from the initial electrode array, and uses an image of excitation wave in a process of obtaining the detection signals by using the initial electrode array, as teacher data, obtaining a learned model by deep learning. The method selects a second electrode array corresponding to an analysis image that is best matched with the image of the teacher data, among a plurality of analysis images obtained by applying the plurality of input data to the learned model, as a selective electrode array.

The processing circuitry is configured to calculate a first blood flow direction on the basis of a structure of a region of interest rendered in the medical image. The processing circuitry is configured to calculate a second blood flow direction on the basis of a structure in the surroundings of the region of interest. The processing circuitry is configured to identify a condition of the region of interest, on the basis of the first blood flow direction and the second blood flow direction.

An aspect of the present disclosure calculates a phase variance value indicating a degree of variance of a phase in a surrounding of each position in a biological tissue, based on phase values of excitation wave at respective positions in the biological tissue that acts in response to excitation caused by propagation of the excitation wave in the tissue, and generates an analysis map, based on a time series of at least part of the phase variance values at the respective positions. Since the phase variance value indicates the degree of variance of the phase in the surrounding, a position having a large degree of variance of the phase in the surrounding may be specified as a rotation center of rotating excitation wave.

A system stores clustering information obtained by clustering multiple sets of viewpoints relative to teeth of a three-dimensional model of a patient and projection images of a head including the teeth from the respective viewpoints. At the time of a surgery, the system creates comparative images from a photographed image taken by a monocular camera and searches for any viewpoint having a projection image similar to the comparative image sequentially from a first hierarchy to a final hierarchy in the clustering information. The system sets a representative viewpoint based on the viewpoint of the final hierarchy, restores position and posture of the teeth of the patient relative to the monocular camera as position and posture of the teeth of the three-dimensional model relative to the representative viewpoint, and generates and outputs a navigation image based on position and posture of surgical information relative to the teeth after the restoration.

An apparatus for the method comprises systems for acquiring ultrasound images by an ultrasound probe, processing the acquired images and moving/rotating the ultrasound probe. A mode switching transmitting mechanism for a tape player according to the present invention, in which a play mode and a fast forward/fast rewinding mode is switched by sliding a transmitting gear engaged with a driving gear in a direction of an axial line, makes it possible to construct a small and thin switching mechanism. In this way the second gear having a greater diameter and the second gear having a smaller diameter are slid against a force of a spring to form a transmission path to the reel gear.

A robot for surgical operation which comprises arm structure mounted at its one end of a vertical support and extending in a predetermined direction. The robot comprises a drive mechanism mounted on the other end of the arm structure and adapted to extend substantially horizontally further in said predetermined direction. A head or trepan is mounted at the extended end of and driven by said drive mechanism. Light transmissive fiber or the like mounted on the trepan takes an image of the patient and a controller process the image through video data processing for driving the arm structure, thereby controlling the position and tilt of the trepan with respect to the patient.
