A seat structure has a main body and a seating surface element attached to the main body extending in a longitudinal direction. A back element is connected to a rear end of the seating surface element and is reclinable and extends in a vertical direction. The back element includes a back plate and a pair of back rods respectively positioned on both lateral sides of said back plate. An upper end flap is connected to an upper end of the back plate in a forward tiltable manner. A displacement member is supported on the back rods and is vertically displaceable. A first connection element connects the displacement member and upper end flap to tilt the upper end flap forward according to displacement of the displacement member.

A crotch belt () which is one component of a body restraint belt includes an elastic plate () having bending elasticity, and a buckle () mounted on an end of the elastic plate (). One end of the elastic plate () is fixed to a fixing point () under a seating surface (). While the crotch belt () is not connected to a waist belt, the crotch belt () is positioned along a front part of the seating surface () so as to be close to it by elastic force of the elastic plate ().

A folding baby carriage comprises a body so constituted that a seat and a backrest part approach each other in a folding operation, and a luggage basket positioned under the seat. The luggage basket comprises a front frame extending backward and forward under the seat, a rear frame turnably connected to a rear end of the front frame and extending backward and forward, and a lock mechanism preventing the rear frame being turned around the front frame. The rear frame is turned so as to take a lower position in which a rear part of the luggage basket is opened, a horizontal position in which it extends almost horizontally, and an upper position in which its rear end approximates the backrest part. The lock mechanism comprises horizontal position fixing means for fixing the rear frame in the horizontal position.

A seat carriage body comprises a front leg, a rear leg, a push rod, and position fixing means. An upper end of the front leg is turnably connected to an upper end of the rear leg through a first shaft. A front end member of the push rod is connected to the front leg such that it can be displaced along the front leg at the time of a folding operation. A middle part of the push rod is turnably connected to the rear leg through a second shaft. The position fixing means fixes a positional relation among the front leg, the rear leg and the push rod in both open and folded states.

A wheel simultaneous brake mechanism for simultaneously braking two wheels includes two respective engaging members that are selectively movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position for selectively braking or releasing the two wheels. Each engaging member is biased by a spring toward its respective engaged position. The two engaging members are connected to one another in a manner transmitting a tensile force therebetween by a wire, so that the engagement or release of both engaging members can be actuated together in unison.

Each seating surface supporting side bar has a rigid inward extending portion extending toward the inside so as to support the seating surface from beneath, at a rear portion thereof. The inward extending portion is formed by bending a rear end portion of the seating surface supporting side bar toward the inside.
