A laminate type heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubular elements each formed of a pair of generally flat stamped plates joined together in an abutting manner, a plurality of fins, the tubular elements and the fins being superposed one upon another in an alternate manner to form a laminate structure and a pair of end plates attached to outermost ones of the tubular elements at opposite ends of the laminate structure. The end plates each have a joining section joined to an associated one of the outermost tubular elements, and a swelled main portion. The joining section of each end plate includes a joining portion abutting against a portion of one side surface of an associated outermost stamped plate, which portion corresponds in location to a portion of a recess formed in the other side surface of the associated outermost stamped plate. The joining portion is shaped and sized such that at least one row of depressions formed in the one side surface of the associated outermost stamped plate communicates with one of the interior of the swelled main portion of the end plate and the outside of the heat exchanger.

Laminate type heat exchanger

A laminate type heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubular elements each formed of a pair of generally flat stamped plates joined together in an abutting manner, a plurality of fins, the tubular elements and the fins being superposed one upon another in an alternate manner to form a laminate structure, and a pair of end plates attached to outermost ones of the tubular elements at opposite ends of the laminate structure. The end plates each have a joining section joined to an associated one of the outermost tubular elements, and a swelled main portion. The joining section of each end plate includes a joining portion abutting against a portion of one side surface of an associated outermost stamped plate, which portion corresponds in location to a portion of a recess formed in the other side surface of the associated outermost stamped plate. The joining portion is shaped and sized such that at least one row of depressions formed in the one side surface of the associated outermost stamped plate communicates with one of the interior of the swelled main portion of the end plate and the outside of the heat exchanger.

A laminated heat exchanger for used in automobile air-conditioners includes a plurality of heat exchanger elements laminated together and each having a pair of tanks on one side thereof and connected by a U-shaped channel. The heat exchanger elements are communicated with each other so as to form a flow passage having at least four paths. An inlet and an outlet pipe are disposed in juxtaposition on one side of the laminated heat exchanger which is out of alignment with the path of flow of air to be cooled.

Laminated heat exchanger

A laminated evaporator includes a plurality of heat exchanging elements and a plurality of corrugated fins disposed alternately and built up into layers. Each of the heat exchanging elements includes at least at its one end a pair of tubular portions and a plurality of spacers. The tubular portions of one heat exchanging element are fitted with the tubular portions of an adjacent heat exchanging element, and spacers of two adjacent heat exchanging elements are joined together to maintain a constant spacing between the adjacent heat exchanging elements.

Laminated evaporator

In a control apparatus for automobile air-conditioners including a variable displacement compressor and a fast idling device, the operation of the fast idling device is retarded until a predetermined discharge pressure of the variable displacement compressor is detected by a pressure sensor. With this retarded operation, it is possible to prevent the engine from rotating at an undue speed when the engine is operating under the fast idling mode.

Control apparatus for automobile air-conditioners

A laminated heat exchanger includes a plurality of tube elements laminated with one another with fins interposed therebetween, and a single tank element having a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet, the tube elements and tank element being joined together via their connecting holes. The connecting holes of each tube element are provided at one end of the tube element and the connecting holes in the tank element are formed in one face of the tank element. With this construction, the single tank element can commonly be used for all of the plural tube elements.

A laminated heat exchanger includes a plurality of parallel spaced tube elements with tanks at one end thereof, and fins disposed between adjacent tube elements. Each tube element has a pair of joint portions projecting from the other end thereof toward two adjacent tube elements and held in abutment with the joint portions of the two adjacent tube elements. The joint portion has a corrugated shape composed of alternate parallel grooves and ridges and hence is rigid enough to withstand external forces. The tube element includes a guide member disposed on a front end of the partition wall for directing a heat transferring medium toward the opposite corners of a guide channel. With the guide member, the heat transferring medium is distributed uniformly over the entire region of the guide channel.

An air conditioning system for automotive vehicles wherein the temperature and pressure of refrigerant at the outlet of the evaporator are detected, respectively, by a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor, and the flow rate of refrigerant within the refrigerating cycle is controlled to proper values corresponding to thermal load on the system, by controlling the opening of an expansion valve with a valve control means responsive to output signals from the above sensors. The pressure of refrigerant detected by the pressure sensor is converted by conversion means into a corresponding saturation temperature of the refrigerant. Determining means determines whether or not the refrigerant quantity is insufficient by comparing the difference between the refrigerant temperature and the corresponding saturation temperature of the refrigerant with a predetermined reference value. Indicator means indicates abnormality when the refrigerant quantity is determined to be insufficient. The valve control means causes disengagement of the electromagnetic clutch of the compressor to render the refrigerant compressor inoperative when the refrigerant quantity is determined to be insufficient.
