Finely dispersed polyurethane polyurea crosslinked particles having an average particle diameter of not greater than 1 .mu.m and essentially comprising (A) an ion-forming polyol, (B) a polyisocyanate, and (C) a polyamine; and a process for producing the same are disclosed. The present invention provides finely dispersed polyurethane polyurea crosslinked particles and a process for producing the same; the dispersed particles being firmly crosslinked and having an average particle diameter of not greater than 1 .mu.m, and the particle dispersion having high preservation stability, preventing the core substance, if encapsulated therein, from undergoing denaturation, and exhibiting per se film-forming properties to provide a film excellent in water resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistance.

The present invention provides polymer fine particles for a jet ink, each polymer fine particle containing a colorant, wherein the polymer fine particles have an average particle diameter in the range of 5 to 700 nm, a maximum particle diameter of at most 1000 nm, and a particle size distribution, at m value of shape parameter according to the Weibull distribution, of at least 1.3, and wherein the polymer fine particles are able to form a coating film at room temperature. By using the aforementioned polymer fine particles as essential components according to the present invention, it is possible to provide polymer fine particles for a jet ink which display a superior storage stability, resistance to wear, durability, water resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance and the like, in which there is no clogging of the ink jet; and a jet ink comprising the aforementioned polymer fine particles which produces clear prints over a long period of time wherein smudging of the printed matter due to water or sweat does not easily occur.

A finely particulate polymer for use in a stencil ink is disclosed which is uniformly dispersible into a binder polymer having a solubility parameter of 11.0 or lower and has an average particle diameter of from 0.1 to 10 .mu.m and a maximum particle diameter of 50 .mu.m or smaller. The finely particulate polymer is highly advantageous in that stencil inks having an appropriate viscosity can be easily obtained with the particulate polymer using the same formulation even when the inks contain different colorants, and that with the particulate polymer, a colorant which has been unusable due to its adverse influence on the storage stability of stencil inks can be used to produce a stencil ink having excellent storage stability by encapsulating the colorant in the individual polymer particles.

A crosslinked polyurethane polyurea spherically particulate polymer having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 500 .mu.m, wherein the polymer molecule contains an isocyanurate ring in an amount of 10 to 30% by weight is disclosed. A process for producing the crosslinked polyurethane polyurea spherically particulate polymer is also disclosed. The process comprises the steps of: reacting an isocyanurate ring-containing polyisocyanate compound with a polyhydroxy compound to form an organic phase capable of forming a three-dimensional crosslinked structure due to the reaction, wherein the amount of isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate compound is stoichiometrically larger than that of hydroxyl groups in the polyhydroxy compound; finely dispersing the organic phase into water; and adding a polyamine to the dispersion to make interfacial polymerization between the organic phase and the polyamine and a polyurethane-forming reaction within particles, wherein the amount of the polyamine is stoichiometrically equivalent to or smaller than the stoichiometrical excess of isocyanate groups. The particulate polymer is excellent in solvent resistance and has a completely spherical shape without wrinkle on the particle surface. The particulate polymer has a good toughness and mechanical properties. Further, the particulate polymer has no reactive isocyanate group in the polymer molecule.

Disclosed is a construction material containing bitumen comprising (A) a polyol component, the polyol component consisting essentially of (a-1) a hydroxy-polyoxyalkylene ether of bisphenol A and/or bisphenol F, and (a-2) an aliphatic polyol, (B) a polyisocyanate component, (C) a bitumen, and/or (D) an aggregate.
