In an on-vehicle display device, projection light output from a projecting unit is reflected on an intermediate mirror and is further reflected on a directional mirror. The reflected light is directed to a windshield glass as directed reflected light. In an adjustment operation, the directional mirror is rotated around tilting fulcrum parts by a driving unit to adjust the height of a virtual image formed in front of the windshield glass. In a retracting operation, the lower end of the directional mirror is largely moved forward by the driving unit, rotating the directional mirror with an abutting point between the directional mirror and the upper support acting as a fulcrum. This prevents external light (sunlight) from adversely affecting the projecting unit.

On-vehicle displays device

A disk drive includes an insertion detection unit disposed at a position deviating from a transport center line in a first direction, a transport roller, and an opposing member that holds a disk together with the transport roller. The opposing member has a second guiding recess located in a second direction relative to the transport center line. The recess of the opposing member and the transport roller define a space therebetween to receive the disk inserted from a position deviating from the transport center line in the second direction.

Disk drive

In a disk drive device, a guide section is formed to protrude from the front surface of a guide top and face a front panel of a frame member with a detection pin therebetween. The guide section forms an inclined side that faces a free end of the detection pin with a gap therebetween. If a disk is shifted from the middle of a disk insertion slot in the right-left direction and is inserted into the disk insertion slot, the detection pin is flexibly deformed by a disk insertion force and is brought into pressure contact with the inclined side. A component force is exerted on the detection pin in a direction in which the detection pin is moved away from the middle of the disk insertion slot in the width direction. The component force smoothly rotates a detection lever from an initial position to an operating position.

Disk drive device with disk detection mechanism

When a normal disk having the diameter of 12 cm is inserted into the disk device, first and second optical detecting elements detect the insertion, and transitions to a first detection state, which initiates transfer operation of first and second transfer rollers. If the disk is further moved to an inner portion of the device, thus pressing first and second detecting pins, first and second detecting switches are turned OFF, and the detecting elements enter a second detection state. Before the transition from the first detection state to the second detection state occurs, a rotating speed of the first and second transfer rollers is set low. After transition to the second detection state, the rotating speed is increased. As a result, a card or other such foreign objects can be removed and a monitoring period can be increased until detection of a normal disk is detected.

Disc device having multiple disk carry-in speeds

A disc-positioning mechanism of a car-mounted disc player includes drive chassis having at least a turntable and a pickup; a clamper-supporting member movable so as to come close to or detach away from the drive chassis; a clamper rotatably supported on the clamper-supporting member and being able to clamp a disc between the clamper and the turntable; and at least one positioning member abutting against the outer periphery of a disc inserted from a slot of the disc player so as to position the disc with respect to the turntable. The positioning member includes an abutment abutting against the outer periphery of the disc and a regulatory portion extending farther toward the slot than the abutment and is supported on either one component of the drive chassis and the clamper-supporting member, and the regulatory portion abuts against the other component.
