A design support apparatus that outputs a plurality of pairs of output parameters for a pair of input parameters is provided. The apparatus includes: an analysis controlling unit that generates a sampling point in design space based on an input parameter, performs calculation in accordance with the sampling point, and acquires a calculation result as an output parameter; a machine learning unit that performs machine learning on a relationship between the input and output parameters; a design plan generating unit that calculates a design plan corresponding to information learned by the machine learning unit; a visualizing unit that visualizes the design space, and displays the calculation result and the design plan in the visualized design space; a design region unit that specifies a region in a vicinity of the design plan in the visualized design space; and an output unit that outputs the calculation result contained in the region.

Analysis model generation system

A retrieval method targeted for partial characteristic shapes existing in a polyhedral shape is provided. The method converts inputted shape model data into triangular mesh data, extracts and classifies triangular mesh data groups that form the partial characteristic shapes. The method calculates the characteristic amount of the triangular mesh data groups that represent the classified partial characteristic shapes and then calculates the difference between the characteristic amount of the triangular mesh data groups and the characteristic amount of a query shape to display a partial characteristic shape that has a small difference in the characteristic amount or the query shape. Furthermore, the method displays a list of candidates for similar shapes based on the difference value of the characteristic amount.

Mesh-based shape retrieval system

It is possible to automatically correct a six-plane body mesh pattern so as to satisfy the required quality. A device for generating a mesh pattern for analysis comprises: surface mesh generating device for generating a surface mesh pattern of an analysis object by acquiring shape model data on the analysis object and mesh control data including required quality of an analysis mesh model; internal mesh generating device for generating an internal mesh pattern of the analysis object according to the generated surface mesh pattern; device for calculating the element quality of surface meshes; quality evaluating device for evaluating calculated element quality according to the required quality; and mesh correction device for shifting a surface mesh node point not satisfying the required quality in the direction to improve the quality.

Method of generating mesh for analysis

A model simplification apparatus performs: inputting a 3D geometric model; forming a surface mesh on the input geometric model and registering the surface mesh as an initial mesh; classifying the surface mesh into partial surface meshes, and calculating feature quantities of the partial surface meshes; inputting each group of mesh elements of the geometry features as reference feature shapes; searching for groups of mesh elements of similar geometry features to the reference feature shapes. Furthermore, removing group of mesh elements corresponding to the similar feature shapes from the initial mesh, and forming simplified mesh parts instead of removed similar feature shapes.

Model simplification apparatus and program

An analysis model producing/assisting apparatus produces a recognition model, approximating surfaces of configuration and ridgelines thereof by planes and lines, from a configuration model showing the configuration. Thereafter, it produces a mapping model through dividing the recognition model into cubic grids, and then produces an analysis model, through mapping grid points of the mapping model onto the configuration model. When producing the recognition model, know-how for producing the analysis model, which gives an influence upon quality of the meshes of the analysis model, is take out from a database, and that know-how for producing the analysis model is applied onto the configuration model.
