A ski boot is described in which the body of the boot may be moved in a crosswise direction in relation to the sole, in such a way that it may be correctly aligned with respect to the ski. More particularly, the sole has at least one of its ends, the toe or the heel, joined to the body in a gliding manner, by means of an essentially prismatic connection (dovetail). In that way, the body of the boot may be fixed on a ski in the position that is morphologically most suitable for the skier.

A hinged sport boot having an upper boot portion with hinge openings in its sides and a lower boot portion with integral, headed, hinge pins projecting from its sides. The heads of hinge pins are slightly larger in size than the openings so that the pins must be forced through the openings to hingedly connect the upper and lower portions together. A locating depression is provided on the central outer surface of the head of each pin to properly locate a connecting tool used to connect the boot portions together. The invention is also directed toward a method for connecting the boot portions together.

A ski boot and lever locking device includes a plastics boot body having a front opening defining an adjustable closure and an encircling element on the portion of the boot body affected by adjustment of the front opening and provided with traction elements toward the rear of the boot body.

A fastener for roller skates, which can be manipulated quickly and simply by young children while providing a secure attachment of a skate to a user's foot, comprises a band with transverse teeth which is fixed to the skate, and a spring pawl engageable with the teeth. The pawl is carried by a U-shaped support fixed to the skate in correspondence with the band.

Ice skating footwear in which a legging for partially enveloping the leg of a skater above the ankle is pivotally attached at the heel of the footwear. The attachment advantageously is made by lower appendages of the legging which have the appearance of forming a stirrup for the heel. The footwear desirably includes in its sole, a transverse band with lateral portions that partially and adjustably envelope sides of the footwear above the sole.

A blade for ice skating having a transverse, longitudinally extending passageway, desirably centrally located, and at least one longitudinally extending structural configuration for securely and partially embedding the blade in a supporting body that is in turn affixed to a shoe. The longitudinally extending passageway and member avoid the structural weaknesses of the prior art and permit the rigid and partial embedding of the blade in the supporting body.

A skate blade is fastened to the sole of a skating shoe by means of a screw which extends from inside the shoe through aligned apertures in a recessed washer, the sole of the shoe, the skate blade attaching plate, a body of elastically deformable material located in a hollow support disposed between the plate and the blade and a nut secured to said elastically deformable material. A similar screw nut arrangement is provided at the heel of the skate.

A lacing device for ski boots comprises a hooked lever-like lacing member provided on one flap of the boot which cooperates with a ring-like lacing member provided on the other flap of the boot. The hooked lever-like lacing member is hingedly mounted on a carrier plate which is provided with an aperture presenting such a contour as to pass snugly over the enlarged head portion of an anchoring projection obtained on the ski boot flap. The carrier plate is then locked in place by means of a locking bolt, in the form of a small plate hingedly mounted on the carrier plate, which engages one of the recessed portions which form the enlarged head of the anchoring projection. In this manner, the aperture of the carrier plate is practically restricted in its area, and the carrier plate (and lever-like lacing member carried thereby) is secured to the ski boot flap.

The lacing device for ski boots comprises a hooked lever-like lacing member which cooperates with a flexible elastic ring-like lacing member. In order to secure the ring-like lacing member to the flap of the ski boot upper, on the flap there is provided a projection which is substantially shaped, in plan view, as a 'filled U' and presents a side groove along the 'U' outline. A locking element is provided, which consists of a U-shaped plate formed so as to define a correspondingly U-shaped channel, inside which there is housed a portion of the ring-like lacing member, prior to the engagement of the U-shaped plate into the groove provided on the projection. Thus, upon engagement of the locking element plate inside the groove of the projection, a portion of the ring-like lacing member results to be encased in the tubular channel defined by the groove and by the locking element. Anchoring means are provided in order to avoid accidental disengagement of the locking member from the groove.

A lacing device for ski boots comprises a hooked lever-like lacing member provided on one flap of the boot which cooperates with a ring-like lacing member provided on the other flap of the boot. The said lacing members are anchored to the boot flaps by providing on the said flaps a corresponding number of projections presenting an enlarged head. An elastic open ring made of steel wire is divaricated by its end portions, which are coaxially directed the one towards the other, so that it can be inserted around the corresponding projection on the flap. The divaricated end portions of the ring are then released so as to close towards each other, and penetrate into borings or side cavities provided at the extremities of the lacing members, thus ensuring an articulated anchoring of the said lacing members to the boot flap.

The lacing device for ski boots comprises a hooked lever-like member which cooperates with a ring-like member. Each lacing member is hingedly mounted on a carrier plate which can be slidably fitted on a slide guide element provided on the flap of the ski boot upper. Each slide guide element presents a plurality of notches which can be engaged by a locking tooth provided on a locking lever which is hingedly mounted on the carrier plate. It is therefore possible to adjust the position of the carrier plate, and of the lacing member carried thereby, on the slide guide element, and, after having adjusted said position, to lock the carrier plate so as to avoid any accidental displacement of same.
