A UE method includes receiving an RRC reconfiguration message, RRCReconfiguration, from a master node. The RRCReconfiguration message includes a secondary cell group, SCG, measurement configuration comprising a configuration of at least one measurement identifier referred in an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell, PSCell, change, CPC. The SCG measurement configuration is included within another RRC reconfiguration message, RRCReconfiguration***, to be applied by the UE upon reception; and at least one conditional reconfiguration for CPC, the conditional reconfiguration comprising for a target candidate cell of a candidate target-secondary node: the SCG configuration; and the execution condition for CPC, where the UE is to apply the SCG configuration upon fulfillment of the execution condition for CPC. The UE applies the reconfiguration message and the SCG measurement configuration, within the RRCReconfiguration*** message. The UE monitors the fulfillment of the execution conditions for the target candidate cell.

SN-initiated conditional PSCell change (CPC) with SN change

Embodiments include methods, performed by a user equipment, UE, for reporting failures related to mobility operations by the UE to a network node in a radio access network, RAN. Such methods include logging () information associated with a plurality of failures during conditional handover, CHO, operations related to a source cell and one or more first target cells. Such methods also include, after a successful mobility operation to a second target cell served by the network node, reporting () the logged information, associated with the plurality of failures, to the network node. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods.

Reporting failures of conditional handover mobility operations

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for conditional handover in handover command. In one embodiment, a wireless device (WD) is configured to receive a request to perform a mobility procedure for a wireless device from a source cell supported by a source network node to a target cell supported by the network node, the request including a current configuration for the wireless device in the source cell; upon receiving the request, determine to prepare a conditional reconfiguration for the wireless device; and transmit the conditional reconfiguration and a radio resource control, RRC, reconfiguration for the wireless device, the RRC reconfiguration being associated with the requested mobility procedure from the source cell to the target cell supported by the network node and the conditional reconfiguration being associated with a target candidate cell determined by the network node.

Conditional handover in handover command

A method performed by a wireless device () comprises receiving (), from a master node (A) for multi-connectivity operation, a configuration message () which includes a master configuration () and one or more conditional PSCell configurations (). The method also comprises transmitting () a first message () in response to the configuration message (). The first message () indicates acknowledgement of receipt, applying of, and/or understanding of the master configuration (). The method also comprises, after transmitting () the first message (), when the condition for applying the PSCell configuration () of at least one of the one or more conditional PSCell configurations () is fulfilled, transmitting (), to the master node (A), a second message () that includes an indication () indicating application by the wireless device () of the PSCell configuration () of at least one of the one or more PSCell configurations ().

Conditional configuration in multi-connectivity operation

A user equipment receives multiple conditional reconfigurations associated with respective conditions. The user equipment is to execute a conditional configuration upon fulfillment of an associated condition. The user equipment accordingly executes one of the multiple conditional configurations upon fulfillment of an associated condition. The user equipment transmits, to a target radio network node, an indication that indicates which one of the multiple conditional reconfigurations the user equipment executed.

Conditional configuration in a wireless communication network

In one aspect, a wireless device is adapted to perform idle mode measurements. The wireless device performs and stores one or more radio signal measurements while in an idle mode or inactive state. The wireless device also deletes the stored radio signal measurements in response to any one of a number of events, such as receiving a RRC release message that does not include an idle mode measurement configuration, receiving an RRC release message while in RRC Connected state, receiving a handover message, or receiving a reconfiguration message adding a secondary cell for carrier aggregation.

A method, system, network node and wireless device for random access are provided. In one or more embodiments, a wireless device is configured to communicate with a network node. The wireless device includes processing circuitry configured to: trigger a random access (RA) process; select a first beam for the RA process, the selected first beam being associated with a two-step RA configuration, a characteristic of the selected first beam being determined to meet a predefined threshold; and perform the RA process associated with the two-step RA configuration using the selected first beam.

Systems and methods for early measurement reporting with a Radio Resource Control (RRC) resume complete like message are disclosed. Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises receiving, from a network node, an indication with a first message to resume a connection with a target cell. The indication is an indication that the wireless device is to include measurements performed by the wireless device while in a dormant state with a second message that indicates that resuming of the connection with the target cell is complete. The method further comprises transmitting, to the network node, the measurements performed by the wireless device while in the dormant state with the second message.

Early measurement reporting with RRC resume complete like message

According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises: determining a characteristic of data for transmission between the wireless device and a network node; determining the wireless device is configured to send measurement information to the network node; and transmitting an indication of the determined characteristic of data for transmission to the network node with the measurement information. In particular embodiments, the measurement information comprises an indication that measurements are available or a measurement report.

In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device in a cellular communications system includes receiving at least one measurement configuration for a power saving state and performing measurements in the power saving state in accordance with the at least one measurement configuration. The method further includes, while performing the measurements in the power saving state, receiving a message from a network node and performing one or more actions to handle the at least one measurement configuration, the measurements, or both the measurement configuration and the measurements, upon receiving the message.

Early measurement configuration handling in 2-steps resume request-release

The present disclosure relate to a method performed by a UE () for handling an invalid SI signature in a communication system. The UE obtains SI and an associated SI signature for a cell. The UE () determines if the obtained SI signature is valid or invalid. If the signature is valid, the UE () determines to use the cell. If the SI signature is invalid, the UE () determines if the UE () is configured to bar cells or not. If the SI signature is invalid and if the UE () is not configured to bar cells with invalid SI signature, the UE () determines to use the cell.
