Embodiments include methods for a UE to perform mobility operations in a wireless network based on conditions related to data traffic. Such methods include receiving, from a network node, one or more conditional reconfigurations. Each includes a reconfiguration message associated with a candidate target cell and one or more execution conditions that need to be fulfilled to apply the reconfiguration message when performing a mobility operation, including at least one first execution condition related to UE data traffic and/or to one or more UE applications. Such methods include monitoring for the execution conditions in the conditional reconfigurations and based on detecting fulfillment of one or more execution conditions in a particular conditional measurement configuration, performing a mobility operation towards the candidate target cell associated with the reconfiguration message in the particular conditional measurement configuration. Other embodiments include complementary methods by a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes

Conditional reconfiguration based on data traffic

A method of operating a user equipment, UE, according to some embodiments includes receiving a handover, HO, command, to perform a handover to a target cell, wherein the HO command includes a mobility configuration for lower layer mobility associated to multiple physical cell identities, PCIs, configured for the target cell, and applying the HO command including the mobility configuration. A method of operating a first network node includes receiving a HO request from a second network node to handover a UE to the first network node, the HO request including measurement information associated to multiple cells or multiple PCIs associated to the first network node, generating a HO command that includes a mobility configuration for lower layer mobility associated to multiple PCIs configured for the target cell, and transmitting the HO command to the second network node for delivery to the UE.

Methods for mobility related handover in NR

The present disclosure relates to transmitting synchronization signals and in particular to so called beam sweep. In particular the disclosure relates to methods for providing synchronization using synchronization sequences that are transmitted at different points in time. The disclosure also relates to corresponding devices and computer programs. A method in a network node, for transmitting synchronization sequences of a synchronization signal to one or more receiving wireless devices, comprises determining multiple synchronization sequences, such that each synchronization sequence comprises a respective timing indication, whereby each synchronization sequence enables determination of a time of an event in a receiving wireless device and transmitting the synchronization sequences to the one or more wireless devices, at different points in time.

Methods and devices for enabling cell selection or cell reselection procedures

A method () performed by a T-SN for cancelling a conditional PSCell, change (CPC). The method includes the T-SN receiving (s) a request for a CPC configuration for a UE, wherein the request was transmitted by a first network node (NN), and the UE is connected to the first NN and is also connected to a second NN. The method also includes the T-SM transmitting (s) to the first NN a response to the request, the response including the CPC configuration for the UE. A UE method includes receiving an RRC reconfiguration message, RRCReconfiguration, from a master node. The RRCReconfiguration message includes a secondary cell group, SCG, measurement configuration comprising a configuration of at least one measurement identifier referred in an execution condition for a conditional primary secondary cell, PSCell, change, CPC. The SCG measurement configuration is included within another RRC reconfiguration message, RRCReconfiguration***, to be applied by the UE upon reception; and at least one conditional reconfiguration for CPC, the conditional reconfiguration comprising for a target candidate cell of a candidate target-secondary node: the SCG configuration; and the execution condition for CPC, where the UE is to apply the SCG configuration upon fulfillment of the execution condition for CPC. The UE applies the reconfiguration message and the SCG measurement configuration, within the RRCReconfiguration*** message. The UE monitors the fulfillment of the execution conditions for the target candidate cell.

SN-initiated conditional PSCell change (CPC) with SN change

Embodiments include methods, performed by a user equipment, UE, for reporting failures related to mobility operations by the UE to a network node in a radio access network, RAN. Such methods include logging () information associated with a plurality of failures during conditional handover, CHO, operations related to a source cell and one or more first target cells. Such methods also include, after a successful mobility operation to a second target cell served by the network node, reporting () the logged information, associated with the plurality of failures, to the network node. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods.

Reporting failures of conditional handover mobility operations

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for conditional handover in handover command. In one embodiment, a wireless device (WD) is configured to receive a request to perform a mobility procedure for a wireless device from a source cell supported by a source network node to a target cell supported by the network node, the request including a current configuration for the wireless device in the source cell; upon receiving the request, determine to prepare a conditional reconfiguration for the wireless device; and transmit the conditional reconfiguration and a radio resource control, RRC, reconfiguration for the wireless device, the RRC reconfiguration being associated with the requested mobility procedure from the source cell to the target cell supported by the network node and the conditional reconfiguration being associated with a target candidate cell determined by the network node.

Conditional handover in handover command

Conditional configuration in multi-connectivity operation

A user equipment receives multiple conditional reconfigurations associated with respective conditions. The user equipment is to execute a conditional configuration upon fulfillment of an associated condition. The user equipment accordingly executes one of the multiple conditional configurations upon fulfillment of an associated condition. The user equipment transmits, to a target radio network node, an indication that indicates which one of the multiple conditional reconfigurations the user equipment executed.

Conditional configuration in a wireless communication network

In one aspect, a wireless device is adapted to perform idle mode measurements. The wireless device performs and stores one or more radio signal measurements while in an idle mode or inactive state. The wireless device also deletes the stored radio signal measurements in response to any one of a number of events, such as receiving a RRC release message that does not include an idle mode measurement configuration, receiving an RRC release message while in RRC Connected state, receiving a handover message, or receiving a reconfiguration message adding a secondary cell for carrier aggregation.
