The invention refers to a wireless device and to operating the wireless terminal, UE, connected to a serving network node associated to a serving cell of a radio access network, RAN, the method comprising: receiving system information from a neighbour cell of the serving cell, determining from the system information if the neighbour cell does or does not broadcast a global cell identifier, CGI, of the neighbour cell; and if the neighbour cell does not broadcast the CGI, transmitting a global cell identifier, CGI, report to the serving network node, wherein the CGI report includes an indication that the neighbour cell does not broadcast the CGI of the neighbour cell. The invention further refers to a corresponding network node and to a method performed in the network node.

Cell global identity reporting

According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device capable of operating in dual connectivity with a first network node in a master cell group (MCG) and a second network node in a secondary cell group (SCG) comprises receiving a connection configuration message from the first network node. The message includes parameters for setup or modification of the SCG. The method further comprises: storing parameters for synchronization or random access with the second network node; operating in dual connectivity with the first and second network nodes; storing configuration information about the second network node received via system information; receiving a connection release message from the first network node; receiving a connection resume message from the first network node; determining the message does not include a new or modified configuration for the SCG; and performing synchronization and random access with the second network node using the stored parameters.

According to certain embodiments, a target network node for communicating with a user equipment (UE) that was previously in communication with a source network node, comprises an interface operably coupled to processing circuitry. Systems and methods are disclosed herein relating to wireless device behavior after rejection of a resume request triggered by a Radio Access Network (RAN) based Notification Area Update (RNAU) or upon cell reselection during resume. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device comprises transmitting, to a RAN node, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) resume request triggered by an RNAU and receiving, from the RAN node, an RRC resume reject message comprising a wait timer value in response to the RRC resume request. The method further comprises starting a wait timer initialized with the wait timer value and sending the RNAU when the wait timer has expired. Corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are also disclosed.
